Call from the police literally 25 seconds ago. They cant do anything because there is a bill of sale... My uncle must have sold it to this kid and forged my name. The police now are going to see and if they can trace this kid to any of his coworkers
And I know this all seems like a wild goose chase but this is actually happening... Believe me or not call me a liar but I am being honest. I sware on my Mothers grave
No worries Ryan we were just wondering why nothing was coming of this.
Thats why I was torn.. didnt know if it was BS or if action was being taken and you just were too busy to hop on here and inform the crew! lol
Hopefully the cops take care of this right there and you have your truck back tonight.
If not, then I hope you have your truck back LATER tonight under the cover of darkness!
Either way man dont feel offended we are all just curious and impatient!
...but you have the title!!!!! what else do they want? i guess i can go to WI and just take any truck i want, scribble a bill of sale on a bar napkin and its mine?!?!? I am getting a trailer and headed up there. apperently trucks are free!!!!!
Im talking to cousin to see if he wants to go and get it?
This isn't uncle Richard's kid is it? lol. No offense, but I think I would eliminate family from their involvement due to their "help" already in the situation.
If there is nothing that the cops can do to our buddy Marcus because he has a bill of sale, then I guess the heat is on your uncle to pay you for the truck. Just curious, where does Marcus say that he got the truck?
I am still saying that it is possible that Uncle Dick's story could be legit, he dropped it off at the junk yard, they fixed it, swapped the VIN sticker and sold it to Marcus. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, sometimes to a fault, but I'm Just sayin'....
What's it cost to rent a 10 x 20' storage locker for the duration of the time you're gone to your MOS?
How does he have a bill of sale when you have the title?
Sounds like they re-issued a vin for a truck with a forged name.
And yes, the cops can do something about it.
Its called "theft," Bill of sale or not.
Ask your lawyer.
Just because you steal and sell it doesn't mean its "authentic."
I guess George is right on this one.
Lets go steal from WI where if you have a bill of sale on a napkin, you can just own any truck you want.
no matter what state you are in, it is not legal to swap a vin tag. at the very least, you get a reconstructed vechlie title or a salvage title with THE SAME VIN!!! and the is no way that anything like that happened this fast! its the dmv for crying out loud! william, ill pick you up on the way. that way we can get at least one more

You have your title... your name as the owner and you didnt sign it to anyone.
And the license plates still match on the truck?
That to me says its yours and the cops should be able to bring him in on theft.
Doesnt matter if he has a piece of paper saying somebody sold him the truck.
Cuz Marcus has told me he is waiting for the title and plates to come in as he only got it a month ago...
Yeah, you cannot sell a truck either without the title.
So, somebody is forging a title or something.
And they probably just pealed a tag out of another truck and stuck it in.
