Well I've been thinking alot about this too, one of his big mistakes of coarse was his choice of leaving the truck with that uncle. There should have been some very clear instructions laid out on what he could and couldn't do with the truck. In my state I believe the owner of the vehicle is responsible for the truck and any damage caused by it, unless the title has been changed so the person in care of the truck is listed on the truck a the registered owner and have to have proper insurance to drive it. However a lot of people could make this mistake trusting a relative, but you gota protect yourself. Ryan is very young and has not been given very good advice from those he trusts, or he has just made bad choices. We don't know anything about what the lawyer is telling him or doing to get this resolved, but as usual he will make money maybe a little more the longer it takes. I really dislike lawyers but sometimes they are a necessary evil. So many things that were done wrong!!! but isn't hind sight wonderful.

Good point rich! (by the way I got mail yesterday, thanks much).

If we never made mistakes we wouldnt get any smarter.
Good judgement comes from experience, which often comes from a lot of bad judgement.

I texted that SOB Marcus again just seeing if he still had the truck and toolbox for sale.
He does...

When this first started to become crazy I first thought "maybe he wanted an excuse to post a CL ad into a normal thread so we would all see it advertising his truck for sale and the crazy story made sure we all saw it"

Then i thought to myself "why would anyone go through that much trouble when there is a classifieds section and our moderators are leanient and probably wouldnt mind him just posting a thread saying 'YO MY TRUCK FOR SALE'"
But hey.
I guess we will just wait to see if Ryan gets back to us..

But as of an hour ago whoever 'marcus' is still says he has the truck.

I did report this to the police as soon as i got my **** together, lawyer said i should go and look at truck to verify it before they went there. So thats what i did, then i ****ed up and just wanted to take it back and got cocky and showed him the title. Yeah i messed up but it was a stressful sight to see my truck in some other guys hands...
