Now that is something I can get on board with! All too many times people try & put these new, digital dashes in old cars and they like like... well... *****. To me at least. This seems to keep the main style of the truck while fitting in the new dash component. Nicely done. Wouldn't expect much less based on what I've seen from the rest of the builds though.

thanks! I went the Dakota Digital dash for Eco2 but will most likely use this setup instead. Custom Cab needs it. Maybe put the DD setup in the ‘66 4x4.
still need to add chrome bezels around gauges.
but it’s close. If enough interest will post video of it in operation.
As that thing sits it's head and shoulders above what I've seen anybody else do. Adding chrome bezels around the gauges will just be that much more of a touch of perfection.
Plan on selling my 2nd ‘66 shortbed. How much value should I put on it? Biggie is the huge $$ to replace box floor. AZ sheet metal since new. Zero rust in cab. I want to retire so letting go at least 50% of my ‘66 truck stash.
1965 F100 rolling chassis has f250 Dana 60 rear. New brakes, king pins, wheel cylinders, brake lines. Frame blasted, primed & painted. Have nice rust free ‘65 cab and box that can go with it. Is 2000 too much for done roller package inc cab & box? Zero rust. or should I ask more?
Really hard to say what prices should be. Up here in the NE rust free sheet metal would sell easily I think and at good prices but in AZ that might not be the case. That 66 bed is probably worth quite a bit to the right person but I'm sure you have a lot of time and $ in it so even that might be hard to turn much of a profit. If you have the time start high and come down if needed.
up here in Canada we would have to pay $2,000(+) for a rust free straight box, $1,500(+) for a rust free cab, $200-$300 per door, same for a tailgate, $150-$250 per fender and $250-$400 for a straight rustfree hood, $100-$300 for a straight rustfree steel grill & $300-$600 for a good aluminum grill, and it goes on...
You want $2,000 for that setup sounds like a give away from our perspective up here.
A minor surface rusty, slightly dented, patina'd rolling Slick pickup with great project potential could bring $5,000 up here with relative ease.

All I was trying to do is get a portion of $$ spent back. Cost to replace a floor and metal fore and aft of wheel tubs is a bunch more than 3000.00 plus value of box prior to work. The done '65 frame I was pretty much giving it away at a huge loss.

2k for that fresh done frame a 100% rust free straight cab (rust free here means not even a pin hole) Not to mention when blasted one can tie up 500.00 in labor very easy much less the time to go out and find parts then spend the hours to completely tear it down. Clear AZ title and door tag too. Add in the nice box and it was a giveaway and surely a bunch less than I had in it. Lost 100% of time just trying to help the next guy out. I very seldom sell parts or trucks. It's gotten to be a very very expensive hobby. In last 8 yrs it has cost me over 30,000 in just heating and cooling costs for shop which I have gotten none of that back ever. Reason I want to wind down on all the parts and projects. Not getting enough back to keep the lights on. Kind of like the inserts. I spent a considerable amount of time and hired a Graphic Design person with a total cost that exceeded 7500.00 plus many hours per week for a entire year I sold under 4000 in inserts. So it cost me hundreds per inserts each for my own and hundreds of hours in time. Reason I quit making them.
Any of the failed inserts trying to get them right and it came direct out of my pocket.
Not afraid to say it if anyone else can make equal inserts I would give 200.00 per pair when I need them.

I see so many people spend more on patch panels than I was trying to get for MINT parts. Some have spent 5000.00 plus on labor to fix a cab but would not pay 400-500 for a rust and dent free cab plus a few bucks to ship it.
I have never gotten more than 200.00 for a pretty much mint aluminum '66 Grille. Matter of fact I just promised one a excellent no dings, dents or scratches '66 grille for 200.00 Person picking it up next week. Sold him a nice '66 Fender for 125.00
I still will sell the completely re-done '65 chassis, a rust free cab, and a very nice rust free dent free box together for 2000.00 One could spend 3k just going thru frame plus a whole bunch of time.
Now selling the short bed less box for 2500.00 both truck rollers have clear az titles and door tag. I want to add shade canopy in front of shop so I can spend some morning evening time outside when temps hit 115 deg. Working in direct sun last 9 years for FREE not much fun.
I saw a nice take off tail gate the other day and asked the price and was told "GIVING it away for 3000.00" WOW I sell nice trucks for that . . I call that GOUGING!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re in this spot. I would love to see you carry on with the projects, but that would be selfish. Based on what you said, I guess that I don’t want a conditioned shop. Here in Chico, my baseline rate is 24 cents/kwh, and it only goes up from there.

I will continue to finish the few projects I have going. If they dont run and drive are basically worth nothing.
I had other projects in the works but machine shop RUINED my last 3 good FE blocks and refuses to compensate. Not only that but had spent a small fortune on buying other parts for those trucks. Just this short bed alone I had all other engine parts ready to go Like a custom set of Mercury Valve covers made in ALUMINUM! Big $$ there, I had a 1966 GT390 carb restored to perfection, ALuminum intake, new steering gear box, power steering, new AC system from Vintage Air, I bought a custom Rebuilt C6 along with a new Gear Vendors Overdrive, Bought a custom driveshaft, Built a new 9" posi center section, new bearings on axles, did up a dropped I beam setup with all new king pins, disc brake setup with all parts plated, restored all chassis hardware, All NOS glass, Spent a small fortune only to have it all go away. Another truck I had a full 3spd column shift factory OverDrive all new ready to go and on and on. Blocks of course were date coded to trucks. Boatload of parts I now can get nothing or little for. I figured it was a good time to get ready for retirement now in 17 months (passed 62 long ago)
Then today I Tripped over yet another '66 Ranger! Total unknown truck not in registry, Az since new nice color combo ordered for stock it appears as no 6 digit DSO. Tempting but If I plan on quitting any time soon . .
Spent 3 months trying to figure out how to get the new Raptor 450/510 crate engine to run without PATS or dealer help. Finally got it today so I can now start to put truck together!
Will be a total relief to sell at least 3 current trucks.
I'm thinking you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth saving on that truck.
They should put the forklift forks thru it and crush it while they can!
Just as I say I am going to sell things off, the phone shows text message: Do you have any interest in a complete 1966 Ranger LWB? (Does a bear crap in the woods?) Maybe if it's my favorite color combo.
Conversation goes on and I ask for pics, TRUE RANGER! Like I totally need another but to humor myself I decide to go look so I can simply talk myself out of it! Really . .
Parked a long time but under cover for most of its life. Yet ANOTHER AZ since new RANGER . . . I did best I could to talk myself out of it . . Air Cleaner grew legs but other than that all there.
I crawled all over and under trying to find rust. These darn Arizona Rangers . .
Chad, Yes it's a 352 with the proper coolant lines for the FMX . . (at least I think it was you that was looking) I will give it another day of talking myself out of it. Maybe I can find a cure first.
