Back side of final version. Cost about 3.00 to do and a bit of elbow grease. The 2018-20 cluster screws aligned perfectly with custom cab cluster. Just a single plug/connector. Takes 5 min to remove or install. So much easier than stock unit. Now I can monitor tire pressure too!
New project truck.
‘65 F-600 in great shape. When new was a Uhaul service truck for many years then used by 2 other tow companies. Az since new. Have not really looked it over well yet but appears to be a replacement 391. Also has 2 spd rear axle.
huge plans but will have to wait it’s turn in line.
2020 or newer 6.7 10R140 would be ideal.
this will be turned into a large camper. Back of cab to end of frame is just over 13’
unsure if it will get full frame swap or engine swap. Only time will tell.

Oh man that thing is awesome! What do you have planned for that beast?
I bought it from my old neighbor who is now 90 yrs old. He finally decided to let it go. He had it so well hidden on his property even his daughter in law of 30 yrs had no clue he owned it! Best well kept secret ever! Nice it was ME who got the first call . .
First up is to get it home then see where it's at and how it runs n drives before I total decide. I flew up on Saturday just to get it moved. I brought a NOS carb kit and NOS fuel pump with me the plan was to get it running. But it ended up taking a full day Saturday (I arrived at noon) just to get it moved. By then it was evening, getting dark and I had to leave at noon the next day.
Would be so neat to just do a 100% stock restoration but it's near impossible to find some of the parts and people who think they have them want to retire off each part. Some of the big venders I was able to pick up a few needed parts. I also had new tires and wheels installed on front. Has really nice structurally sound recaps on rear.
Right now I am leaning towards a new drivetrain & any parts I remove I can use on my 1965 F600. Ideally the use would be a very nice 1966 N700 crew cab camper with a full 5/60 mile warranty. Most likely if I can sell another truck or two to cover costs. I have also thought about a nice late model big truck to get chassis from.
Can't say much for now but am in talks with Ford Fleet to custom order a 2022 F550 fully driveable chassis to put under it. Then add a 1966 HUGE camper on the back outside but have inside all modern all new. My retirement truck . .
Like usual a zillion ideas but will see how it goes. It now has me cash poor so will get it running, driving and use as my daily putting it back to work as a dump truck then go from there.
