Holy crap I didn't know there was a whole nother page, I'm on my phone at work so replying is slow. I might look into this curving for the bronco. But the ranger is the one with a stumble, the bronco is just running rough all together. But anyways tomorrow I plan to call the place with that vw I posted earlier and see if I can take a look. It would be cool if it was in good shape and I could do a straight across trade.
I was wondering haha. So I went and looked at a bug. But it was a pos and the guy selling it was a tattoo building owner a.d gets cars as payment. He tried to lie and play me as a foolish kid who doesn't know carp about cars. Lucky for him I told him I would call him later instead of berating him in front of his employees.

One time I looked at a 78 F250 that was beat to crap, he jumps out and goes "well here she is!" like it was something great. Yeah what side of this pos is she on? LOL them tattoo shop owners are some weird folk
Yeah he was pretty arrogant. He was trying to tell me how much my truck was worth and he kept going back to the fact that they dumped "2 grand" into having the motor rebuilt and blah blah blah. It was a big turd and i hated to see it that way but sometimes you just need to walk away. I will find a bug eventually. And soon i will put the ranger up on CL for either 1200 or 1400. I just need to clean it up and get some more recent pictures of it.

Yeah, I had to walk away from 4 or 5 trucks before I found the decent one I got. Over a time of a year and a half lol.
Yup. It really sucks cause you see a picture of it and it look really cool but it turns out to be a pile. Oh well. I just have to be patient. If i end up selling it early then so be it.

Yeah, every truck I looked at was like that, looked good in the pictures but was either a rust bucket or a horribly running pos!.
So i plan to buy some spark plugs tomorrow. Probably the cheapo autolites but it will be worth it. My question is about the gaping. I have searched around and some people say that .055 is best and some say under .050 is best. What do you folks think? I could always get the factory gap but if there is a better measurement that will help make the engine run smoother than i don't see an issue.
.055 is what we use with the Windsor engines (and the sixlitre tune-up), .050 will be less prone to miss when the plugs wear out. If you don't plan to replace the plugs for a while, gap them to .050.
Dylan, don't buy the cheapo champion or motorcraft/autolite plugs. Get the NGK ones. That's what I have in my 351W, all our cars in fact and they work great, I bought mine for $2.49 a plug too.
My dad used to work on rotary engines when he worked for Mazda, and the only sparkplug that would hold up in a rotary engine (keep up and not blow up) was NGK. Champion was pure crap, autolite wasn't much better. Some would even blow up inside the engine, Bosch was no good either, same with the Nippondenso plugs. Sorry for the lecture on sparkplugs lol. But if you ever wanna know how a sparkplug will do and hold up, put it in a rotary engine.
I've got my plugs gapped at 0.042" like the sticker under the hood says and no problems.

You may not wanna hear this but.. The CHEAPEST plugs work best in 351s 302s.. they dont like expensive plugs.. i put e3s in my 351.. it misfires pretty good when warm..
but ngk aint bad.. i dont use them.. try to stick to autolite.. but after extracting 3 broken ones.. that broke flush off with the head.. Lack of maintence..
im not using autolite after this.,.
I jsut swapped in some autolite plugs in my coupe. They were gapped at .035 orginally but I gapped the new ones at .050 since I upgraded the ignition. Seems to run much smoother, but that could just be new plugs, not treally the gapping.
