I see so those lock out the wheels themselves making it so there is no power? Interesting. Unfortunately $105 is quite pricey and i think a total t-case replacement is what i need to do. That way there won't be a loss of power in the t-case along for the front drive line. These don't have much of a description but what i assume they do is allow the front axles to turn but not the wheels. It would be a good idea for a temp fix type of thing but for that price not so much. Those are pretty cool though, thanks for showing them.
Pretty much i don't have any updates... I haven't been up to much with the bronco besides driving it around. I took it on a maiden voyage about a hour away to meet with some other FTE members. It was pretty fun. Today i had the idea to swap the headlights from my 88 ranger to the bronco since the one's in the ranger are more expensive and brighter than stock halogen lights. Otherwise i haven't done much to it other than keeping the oil topped off.
Same here.. the damn broncos just sit around unless there's SNOW!!!!
Oil pans and oil pan gaskets leaked on every year bronco from 66 to 96..
Unless it just burns oil
Nah i'm sure it's a combo of the valve cover, pan gasket, and the rear main seal spewing oil on everything. Mine sits mainly cause i don't have anywhere to go. Work is maybe 1.5 miles away, i tried riding my bike but got pulled over by a cop because i didn't have lights or reflectors that are needed for night time riding.
On a different note, i didn't swap the lights cause it started raining right before i left the house. I did however, drive it to the store and notice my thumping noise came back. Guess i get to search for the thread locker and tighten the driveline down again. At least this time i know where to look and can get it fixed before driving on the freeway.

i fixed all my oil pans on my 2 broncos.. both of them leak antifreeze from lower intake
I'll get to the gaskets and seal eventually. Since it doesn't leak really bad yet i am not highly concerned. Once it gets about a quart low the leak gets even slower. And unless i have plans to drive a great distance i usually don't worry too much about the oil level. I'm sure it will live missing 1 quart.
I fixed the driveline issue i had. 4 new grade 8 bolts replacing the smashed up ones i had. Anyways, i do have pictures to show for my work even though it is just 4 bolts getting replaced
Old
This is how it looked. I drove it like this for a bit.
New bolts.
And the replacement.
The bolts looked like the head was going to be too big but it actually fit perfect there. I also applied thread lock to it and i think that should cement it in there now.
Probably not the best but i think the new threads going in will clean them up a little and restore some of their strength. At least one can hope right?
If they came up good-n-tight without stripping they will be fine with the thread lock on them. Night Bud. I just fought a blizzard for three hours getting home. All I see when I close my eyes is silver dollar size snow flakes.
