Well, if it could bend grade 5 bolts it will break grade 8 bolts haha, grade 8's will break in a situation that grade 5's will bend, I've seen that happen once.
I guess we will find out tomorrow. I am running out to my favorite Teriyaki shop to get lunch (if all goes well) and plan to run TGM on the freeway. It should be a good test when i have to get up to speed. BTW Matthew, if you're ever in Auburn out by the VW dealership, across the street is their detail shop. Right next to it is a place called Himitsu. They have the best Teriyaki chicken i have ever had, and if you're a Sushi kind of guy they do have a sushi bar where the guy prepares it in front of you. I used to work next door at the GMC dealership and would go there for lunch at least once a week.
I don't believe the factory used 12 point heads, my 78 didn't have them but thats all I have for reference. They aren't a great idea in a place that requires alot of torque.
No kidding, i have always been waiting for the head to twist off or strip out. I always thought those were stock. At least now i know what bolts went in.

You used to work at a GMC dealer? LOL
I really like the Teriyaki joint in Pacific next to Subway by the 76 gas station, they really pile the food in there. The best I had was the joint at the corner of 1st and Milwaukee, the salads they gave you they just reached in to a 5 gallon bucket and grabbed the lettuce out. No wonder why they were shut down by the health department. Oh well it was good anyways haha.
I have seen that teriyaki place but haven't eaten there yet. And yes i worked for GMC unfortunately, it was my first job. That's how i know not to but their vehicles There was a lot of issues from factory including some 2010 models of an suv that "could" catch on fire due to some simple electronic box.

GMC = Great Mechanical Course because they're always breaking down!
not to mention tons of worn out 350's by 120K miles, a few family members had some late 90's GM's with 350's in them, they all had almost no oil pressure at hot idle. Gotta love that quality eh?
They sell some really good food there, they give you a lot of food for the price.
