Oh it doesn't? Ok. I thought the tension on the bar relieved a little pressure on the cables.

no it dont relieve any pressure on the cables, it was simply put in there to help you put the gate up and make it feel easier, i need to cut my bar out of my original gate, thats why the window busted, right now i have a gate off an 86 bronco on it just for the window...I WANT M GREEN TAILGATE BACK!!!!!!!!!

Damn that thing looks great! I like the added touch of painting the lug wrench and jacking accessories blue. The only things that i am not too keen on is the For Sale sign and the carpet in the bed. Or is that bedliner?

It's carpet. It's starting to fade. It's been in there since 2000

So when going to car shows with the Chrome box and other stuff like folding chairs in the back they don't slide around or rattle. Or scratch the paint. Don't want any bed liner in it cuz it ain't a work truck.

Oh ok that makes a lot more sense. No one likes scratches in nice paint. That's for sure. I'm not too concerned in the Broncos case haha.

Hmm I wonder if anyone has ever put a dash cam in a 78 bronco.. I could see it being useful in some situations.

No to watch the road haha. Show the adventure of my driving and if there happens to be some sort of accident, i have proof. I have always wondered how they would work with the memory and power feed and such.

Anyways, it would just be interesting to Mount it somewhere to watch. Or place it facing the suspension to see the travel and articulation of a daily drive.
