I replaced the IPR pigtail, and still having problems, so today I pulled the other valve cover(what a bear) and I am replacing another glowplug.
I think I am going to replace the whole IPR harness, the IPR wires are really soft, but they do have continuity. When I took off the harness I unplugged two connectors from the fuel bowl and fPR, but there was another loose one, with a farily big connector and only one big pin. what is it for?
Yeah, that helps, but there is one more single plug. I know the water in fuel sensor and the heater are part of this harness, plus the 2 wires for the IPR. What is the other wire for?
Would that throw off a CEL and make the truck run bad when the CEL is on, if the wire was loose or bad or the sensor bad?
Can I just get rid of it along with the Heater?

I agree with Darin, and till I know no CEL. Surely PO put a plug in the place of the fuel restriction sensor and left loose the wire as I did. and no more leaks there.
Looks like PO did remove the fuel filter restrictor sensor. I don't see a plug in the hole, but obviously something is in there. I'll have to take a better look.
Since the fuel restrictor sensor is gone, and you don't really need the fuel heater, can I also get rid of the water detector. That way, I can make a two pin harness just for the IPR.
I was messing with my IPR harness and now don't know which pin of the IPR should be 12 volts. I can't find the information anywhere. Sometimes I am a dunce.
All I have to do is hook up my IPR and I can fire up the truck, but I don't want it hooked up backwards. I know someone can tell me what pin the red wire goes to in the IPR receptacle.
