I have a wiper switch that does not work,,taken it apart several,,looks simple enough but still no electricity tru the switch,,,any exploded diagrams out there?
Seems like if ya have to something from another truck or passenger car could be made to work, or repair that one with parts. Got any pics of the innards?
Do you have a list of the trans codes for the 72 F750? My vin is F75EVP31805 but can't get to the codes on the door at the moment.
Truck has a 2speed rear end and is supposed to have a 5speed trans but I can't get into 5th gear. There seems to be a 5th gear up towards the dash between 3 and R, I can get the shifter into that spot with the motor off but I can't get into that gear going down the highway. Tried double clutching, rear in LO and HI going into 5th and I just can't get it. Across the top of the pattern is 1-3-5(maybe?)-R and across the bottom is 2 and 4.

That don't sound right....this is a Chev site reference, but a Clark is a Clark etc when we are talking these transmissions. Some differences are there, but afaik, not the shift patterns.
I don't see my shift pattern on there. I haven't been under the truck yet. Right now I am at a hotel in Oregon waiting for my Dad to drive home to Snohomish, WA and get his 5axle KW dumptruck and a tilt top trailer to get this truck home. Was running great from Coos Bay to Cottage Grove last night but in the hour and a half of driving today the radiator cracked at the filler neck and I think I have some debris in the gas tanks that stirred around and into the carb and fuel filters. 50mph in my highest gear is about 3000rpm right now.
If you put the trans in that gear with the motor off, then fire it up, what happens when you ease out the clutch? If you have a gear there, it should move the truck a little before it stalls out if it's 5th.

I was thinking along the same lines. Getting on top of a hill, stop, kill the motor, put it in the phantom 5th gear with the clutch in and start the motor and get rolling and see what it does when I let the clutch out. But I'll try your idea first, less chance of breaking stuff.
The NP435 in my 76 F250 4x4 has a spot all the way to the right and up next to 3rd that'll hold the shifter there, but there's no gear. This might be the same sorta deal.

I made it to Seattle, truck was running great from Vancouver to Seattle. Just before going through Seattle on I-5 I lost air pressure and pulled over before I lost brakes. The belt driven air compressor broke off of the mount and fell down against the frame. Had a 3axle KW tow truck haul it home (the fastest that F750 has ever gone).
Bill, Im going to take a long shot here since I do not have any idea on year or part numbers. A friend gave me two shock brackets for the rear axel on a Ford Truck. They were wired together, which to him verified they were a pair of shock mounts off a rear axel of a Ford Truck. They are they style that bolt to the bottom of the U Bolts mounting the leaf springs to the frame rails. Each bracket has a shock mount stud. Problem is they are both identical, which suggests (to me), they are both for the same side. He believes they are a matched pair, one for the drivers side and one for the passenger side. If he is correct, this would mount one shock in front of the axel and the opposite shock behind the axel. Have you or anyone else reading this post ever saw this application of the rear shocks using the UBolt shock mounts?
