Yes, I did. I did not end up buying the 1970 due to the availability of parts.

Hi Bill,

I'm looking for a tail gate reflector to a 2002 Lincoln Blackwood, passenger side.

Part # is 2C6Z-13A565-AA (or AB) but I'm not sure which is left or right. I need the passenger side.

I know the part is obsoleted. I'm trying to find dusty old stock somewhere.

Thanks for being here for us!

F600 VIN Decode

I just bought a 1978 F600 Custom Cab dump truck with power steering and chrome grille. I'm interested in finding information from the data tag:

F61DCT27331
WB: 134
Color: T
Type: F611
Body: B8
Trans: 8
Axle: F31
Max GVW: 20200
D.S.O.: 11

Also, any idea where I can get the factory red vinyl & vinyl-weave bench seat material?

Thanks!

If you need parts, obsolete or not, I can look up the numbers, then search for them on two online websites to see if anyone has them. Then will post the part numbers, sources that have them.

If the parts are still available, I will list the MSRP and the FTE member discount price offered by sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM (Ed Olson, parts manager of Horizon Ford in Seattle WA).

I've been doing this jazz on FTE since 11/04/2006. And, btw: One of the parts locator sites is only accessible to FoMoCo Dealers.
Hello everyone, I have been a member since 2009 but have not been active. I was just given a truck(dump) but need help in deciphering the VIN... Hope you can help. Here is it: N70EVU11473

Thanks and as soon as I get her home I will upload some pics... she has been in "barn storage".

I don't have a parts catalog after 2001, so I don't know which is the right (passenger) side. Usually the right side (AA) is listed first, but...

No FoMoCo dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either side.

Thanks for the info Numberdummy, the truck is titled and was sold to me as a 1975 model. I used it for a few years, and sadly parked about 2-3 years ago. I have plans to revive it and put it back into service. It is a dump truck and is a BEAST!!!! I love and can't wait to get back on it. Thanks again for the info.

Thanks for checking for me, Bill! Sort of what I expected, and not what I wanted to hear, but I do appreciate you looking into it all the same.

Something smells and it ain't hay. This VIN and Warranty Plate codes do not match a 1978 F600 Custom Cab with a red interior

The last 6 digits of the VIN (T27331) decodes to a 1974 F600 2WD / 1974 serial number range: S60,001-U80,000 / 1978 serial number range: AA5,001-CJ5,000.

1974 BODY code B8: B = Medium Blue Vinyl / 8 = Custom Cab.

There is no parts catalog reference for a 1974 F500/880 or 1978 F600/880 with the type of upholstery you have described. It's possible the seat is from a 1973/79 F100/350 Ranger.

*Compare the VIN on the Warranty Plate to the VIN on the registration/title to see if they match. Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch.

People replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99.9% of the time, they failed to install the original Warranty Plates on the replaced doors.

I should have checked the registration first. It's listed as a 1974 and the vin on the tag matches the registration. Maybe the body code is E8?
