On mine, the USBs are 2.1 amps each. Certainly charges my Samsung phone fine, but won't do the 'quick charge' or 'rapid charge', whatever Samsung calls it. I did have to trim the hole larger to fit the single gang box in the hole, where the factory RV outlet was not in a box at all. I should have done this long ago. I will be getting another to put in the outdoor kitchen where we charge when we are sitting outside.
Thinking of this mod myself, Lowes has a black outlet for about $30. Do the USB ports charge ok?

I am going to install some 12v usb chargers in those locations so boondocking will be easier but I think those 120v usb charger outlets are sweet.
Not sure if these will work on campers, but I have installed one of these in every room at home. Makes it easier not having to keep searching for the adapters. Also, easier when guests are home and need to charge their devices. BYOC
Hitched and ready to go for a Easter weekend camping trip at the local US Core of Engineers park at Twin Lakes on lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC Setup and enjoying a nice cool evening, praying for the rain they are calling for won’t come!

Nice looking spot! We are not camping this weekend, the park we would go to is flooded, the Army Corp of Engineers can't release the water fast enough.

Yes it does/would, but this trip was only 15 miles from the house and no major hills or anything so I wasn’t worried about it. I have an auxiliary trans temp gauge so I kept an eye on that to monitor cooling efficiency. I would not do it for a longer trip.
Time for a receiver on the back trailer bumper... if it's robust enough.
yes, that is another option, but I am already pushing the GVWR for my trailer which is 7500 and I would want the hitch bolted or welded to make sure it was strong enough.
