The rain finally quit, son is home on spring break which made it a perfect day to get rid of the crappy 15K Dometic A/C and replace it with a new Coleman 15K I bought a month ago. There is a conversion kit to use the same thermostat and controller. Of course getting it on and off the roof is the tricky part, the Coleman is bigger and heavier. The Coleman seems to be quieter and has more output. The hardest part was lining up the outside cover to the new Coleman mount.

The rain in TN has stopped, at least for now, its sunny and 71* here today!
The ground everywhere is pretty soggy still and big puddles in all the low areas but our campsite on the Little Pigeon River is high and dry-ish. We are staying at River Plantation RV Resort in Sevierville TN, a large well kept place with all the amenities, would stay here again.
The tow down (600 miles) went well with no issues, it was cold and with varying degrees of snow for about 300 miles of it and then rain, heavy at times the last 100 or so miles, I need new wiper blades.

Dammit! Camping already? I took my snowmobile to work 2 weeks ago because my 1/2mi driveway was drifted over too bad and got the Ex stuck pretty darn good. Took 4hrs of digging and pulling with my dad's F250. Broke my 12k tow rope and had to use his. It's warmed up a smidge here, and by that, I mean its finally above ZERO. Heading to Vegas this week to catch a Hall & Oates concert and have me a nice soak at the resort we're booked at. Camping? Oh man, do I wish!

We are back home from TN, another 1200 miles of drama free towing in the book! I haven't refilled the tank yet so no MPG numbers for the trip yet, not expecting real high mileage as I towed at 68/73 MPH most of the way.
We weren't home for an hour and I had Twitch on the phone making plans for the next trip!

I opened my low point drains and pulled the drain plug on the water heater when we broke camp in TN, I will need to blow out the water system today as it will still go below freezing a few more times here before Spring has sprung.

Here in NC I should be good for a complete dewinterization next weekend. I will do the same with the low point drains when we get back and if I need to I will open the cabinets and turn on the fireplace at night. I put lever valves on my low point drains so it is super easy to open them up.

Sitting here in Myrtle Beach State Park. Drove down yesterday, the Ex pulled great and even with the crosswinds the ProPride allowed for an easy drive.
We were in the camper and all of a sudden our fireplace beeps, it is turned off. The display was going crazy. We kicked the breaker off and an a couple of times. Thinking the thing has gone bad I tried to call the manufacturer, no answer. I then heard a charging cell phone beep. I went out and moved from my 50 AMP outlet and connected to the 30 AMP, everything started working again. The Ranger came by and he said that the site has been giving trouble and they nee to run a new wire underground. I told him that 30 AMP is no problem since I don't need both A/Cs but by not letting me know I could have blown my electrics. I am now looking into getting a surge protector/filter.

I'm pretty happy with my Progressive Industry EMS HW30C. (You would need the HW50C) Hardwired, fairly easy install and forget. Gives you a display of voltage and current and tells you the trouble if there is a fault. A bit pricey, but much less than a trailer full of electronics.
Wish I was there, it's on my list of places to stay someday.

We had a 50 amp unit hard wired prior to taking delivery of our TT, it did its job for us in a campground in AR last Summer, 50 amp circuit would developed issues every morning around 5:30, then be OK again by 8:00. After 2 days of the scenario I just used a dogbone adapter to plug into the 30 amp before bedtime and went back to the 50 amp after breakfast before the heat of the day which was hot enough for both AC units.
Just upriver (Mississippi) from us there were a couple of industrial plants, seems like when they went online in the early morning it was causing a drop in the rural power supply but it would restabilize after a few hours......? Our best guess anyway.
