Seems lately well over half the CGs we stay in have some wifi, usually near their store or office. I'm hoping to wrangle some of that in. We are good about it... my son likes a little time on his tablet before bed, and wife and I like a little Netflix at bedtime. We are never online during the day unless its raining..... I don't expect that to change. We will be at a CG with wifi near their office for a week starting next Saturday, so we will see how this all works.
For the record, this is the kit I bought. I DO NOT recommend it.
As far as I can see, the repeater in the kit is junk. I left a review expressing my feelings. Fortunately, the antenna works well and I plugged it directly into my laptop, then set up the laptop as a hotspot.
Roan Mountain TN State Park was completely WIFI but they do not allow heavy streaming due to capacity. There is no TV reception in the park at all.
I highly recommend Roan Mountain State Park, absolutely beautiful park. We left a day early so my daughter could go to a birthday sleepover. We like the area so much my wife and I are thinking about retiring there.
Just found this camping thread and thought I'd ask a quick question. I have a 2017 F-250 SD with 6.7 and I was wondering how many of you out there actually use the tow/haul mode while pulling a camper? Seems like it is not really needed with the power and torque of the diesel, but wondering what everyone else thinks. Maybe I should add that I'm pulling a camper that is under 10,000 lbs. Thanks.
Stayed a few days near the coast, campground was ok but a bit crowded and noisy. Short walk to the beach. Moved to an empty horse campground in the vast Michigan pine forest. Quiet, peaceful, and did I mention free? 21 huge sites to fit horse equipment, seems to be very lightly used. Day trip to sleeping bear dunes tomorrow. Good Verizon signal too.

Looks like a good time. You'll find that Verizon is the only company with any signal at all up there. That's part of the reason that I stay with them...or I'd never have any signal when we are in deer camp!

Probably better to ask in the 6.7L forum, but from my experience I jump back and forth between OD and Tow/Haul mode depending on the driving situation and the transmission temperature.
I keep mine in TH all the time when pulling, also helps with controlling speed down grades.
Very understandable, the Torqshift transmission doesn't kick in if it isn't in tow/haul mode. I went down multiple steep grades this past weekend when I used the T/H mode to control the decent speed, hwever, I find I can get better MPG if I monitor the transmission temps and only use the T/H when it is actually needed.
Been doing camper upkeep. Washed the coach and roof. Lubricated hinges, filled the grey tanks with soapy water to clean sensors. I will fill the black tank too and make the dump station on our next trip the first stop. I found a screw missing so I bought some and replaced the screw. Diagnosed I have a failing A/C unit. Our bedroom unit works fine but we will have to replace the main unit sometime this winter. It will still cool, just not very well. Lastly I installed new carpet wraps on the steps. Washed the Ex too.

You don't have a flush of your black tank? Doesn't the gray tank have soapy water in it to begin with?
