Curious if you hauled all 3 kayaks on the roof ......
Nope, one rode in the boat, i havent purchased a 3rd holder yet.
I may stick with 3. Having a 19 and 14 year old they are wishy washy. The 19 year old is always bored and lake water is too calm to kayak in.(he says). The 14 year old is fun to be with but her time is coming. I think that is why we bought a big couples camper.
It is actually a pontoon trailer. I backed over the edge of the ramp trying to get the toon off the other night for fireworks on the water. I "yanked" forward trying to get the toon unstuck from the trailer and to slide off and when the tires came back up to the edge of the ramp they stayed there and the trailer "frame" kept coming with the truck. The axles slid back on the frame and it bent that spring all in one shot. Broken tail light too.
Break Out Another Thousand. Not quite but its rare a boat doesn't cost money when you take it out.

I have been lucky this trip but it aint home yet, heading back this morning.
Can you find a cheap used trailer on CL? Did you tweak the frame?
Brakes, at least on that axle. Here in PA any trailer over 3K lbs has to have brakes on all axles.
My flat car trailer has brakes on one axle and no brakes pn the boat trailer. Just curious what PA enforces for out of state trailers? The boat wont go there ut my flat trailer might.

Like most places, PA allows whatever as long as it's OK in the home state, your NC trailers should be fine here. And stop in to say "Hello!" If and when you come this way.

Good luck!
The frame is good, I've had the axles slip on a few different boat trailers over the years. First time bending a spring though. I think I found the right one, I just have to measure thickness today to confirm.
