Keith. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family for your mother. Modern technology and medicine is pretty danged good. My dad had a triple bypass a decade ago and he's still doing great.

So, by faking the tarp to look like a bin full of tarps that will give you tons of hidden storage area

Thanks Rich. The holes are for the ladders. 2 twelve foot roof ladders were stored there.

Thanks Bobby. I am sure she will be alright.

I have plenty of storage space so I won't really need anymore. Gerald suggesting building a box frame to fill in most of the space. I want something that I can remove easily when I clean the area. I don't want to get the taps wet when I wash her.

I had a 12 foot wood ladder off of a 47 pumper that I was restoring. Someone walked of with it. Prolly not even knowing what it was other than an old wood ladder.

Don't tell anyone but I spelled ladder with two t's. Just didn't look right. So I went back and checked Keith's post for the spelling. You all would have laughed me clean off the board I bet.

Another great weekend with the truck!! Last night I took it to our weekly car show for the first time. Everyone really liked it. Today was a Police/Fire Expo at a local Fire Department. When we picked up the truck my youngest son said something was going to happen. He jinxed us!! On the way to the show she died and stranded us on the side of the road. The problem was ...... out of gas!! I had filled her up the weekend of the 27th for the parade and didn't really drive her much. My fuel gauge hasn't worked and I thought I had enough ...well I was wrong. I called a buddy and he came out with a few gallons of gas. We made it to a nearby gas station and filled her up. The show was nice and 3 guys from my fire truck club showed up. Some of the kids that were in the truck tried to grab my keys so I removed them and put them in my pocket which happened to have a hole in it. When we went to leave I realized my keys were gone and luckily someone turned them it to the fire house. Everything turned out good and my kids had a ball!

Wow, sounds like a fun weekend, even with running out of gas....LOL

Looks like a fine collection of trucks.

It might be kind of fun to wire an an auxillary battery so that you could operate the flashing lights while parked at a show without fear of running down your main battery.

Rich, Ron told me the truck had a flimsy door that just kept the cold Chicago weather out.

Joe, my buddy didn’t razz me too much. He thought I was kidding him about dying on the side of the road.

Jimmy, Yes some beautiful trucks. You really have to see the 34 in person to appreciate it.

Bobby, that’s a good idea about the auxiliary battery. I might just do that.
