And, remember, you are going to be in a PARADE, not on the hi-way. Unless there is a restriction about it, drive that beautiful piece of fire apparatus right down the center line of the parade route pavement. With all the parading and driving fire engines in them, we learned to do that. It gives an equal opportunity for spectators on both sides of the street to get an equal view of the vehicle ( and marchers too, when they pass.) It doesn't look as good if the parade is off to one side of the street, and there should be no big deal on using the center, because there should be no oncoming traffic anyway, which would be the only reason to stay offside.
Have a good time and keep the pictures and videos coming.
We were at the truck yesterday and took her for a test drive. The brakes worked perfectly and did not heat up excessively. I removed the transmission drain plug and nothing came out. The opening was plugged with what looked like thick grease. After I stuck my finger in there the oil started flowing. It must of been decades since the oil was changed last. Now all the fluids have been changed. We got the hood latch fixed, tightened up and secured the engine compartment wiring, installed the drivers side kick panel and put on the chrome rear lug nut covers. I'm about ready for the parade on the 27th. My buddy is coming over early next week to set the points and timing on the engine. The motor ran decent so there shouldn't be any issues on the parade route.
Check out the beautiful banner my wife bought me to display on the parade.
