Bobby, I could use the help ..... your only a few hours plane ride away LOL :-
I am heading out this early this morning to get a few things done. On Friday, I ordered my compartment door handles and latches from a company who distributes for A.L. Hansen. The only diference from the ones they made 60 years ago is that the escutcheon plate is no longer flat. Originally, the handles were painted red but I decided to get the stainless ones. I found almost exact copies of my original passenger door handles on ebay. The only difference was a slightly shorter 5/16 shaft. I need to extend it so it will catch the door latch. I don't think it can be taken apart. Maybe weld an extension or make a sleeve or some sort. Here is the link:
Ilya, you are probably right. We started some interior work this morning. We got some glass and interior panels installed. I received my windshield gaskets and compartment door locks and handles in the mail today.
You will get there Bobby!! Made some more progress... Got the windshields(a real pain in the ***), compartment door handles and latches, and other parts installed.
