Home stretch for sure. Trying to get my parts organized and figure out where I am going to start. My glass is ready and I will pick it up this week. I got the barn cleaned up and removed some trees that were overgrown. As you can see its a pretty good sized barn and the rental fee of $100 a month is a bargain.

Can't rent even a closet for $100 here in CA. You're getting a great deal on that barn. Nice to see the truck back in there for finishing work.

Ilya I know nothing is cheap in CA. The barn is a great deal and I might enclose the front one of these days. I still need to find another building to put it in if a big hurricane ever heads this way. Even tho the barn made it through hurricane wilma, its only wood framed so a nice cbs building would protect all my hard work.

No hurricanes in CA. I'll find a place for you to store out here.

All of the buldings built in the last few decades are seismic proof and earlier buildings have been upgraded, especially after the big quake of 89.

Your truck will be much safer next to me.

Central Missouri doesn't have Hurricanes or earthquakes. When it is done, I can hold it here for safekeeping. Tornado's hit South Missouri, not Central MO and besides I don't live in a trailer park so I'm in the clear.

Oh yeah, way cool!!!! but I've said that before....several times.

Please Please Please get that truck into safe storage before the next hurricane season comes around!

I can't believe Jeff isn't playing up Central IL more as a storage spot for rare vehicles. We've got blizzards, ice storms, tornadoes and even a nuclear reactor less than an hour away!

Thanks guys. Still trying to get everything organized. I picked up all my new glass and ordered the windshield gasket yesterday. I called the metal shop to see if they started repairing my railing yet. They said to come over to the shop to discuss the repair job. I went over and they asked if maybe they could just make me new rails out of polished stainless. I hate not using the original parts but new rails would look nice and I would still keep the originals. Since they didn't have a tube bender (only a pipe bender) they sent me over to another shop to see if they could do the bending. The other shop said they could so now the original shop was going to check on a price for the job. Looking at my originals, they are pretty beat up with holes, dents and bends. They still can be repaired but afterwards they would still have to be sent out for rechroming and there may not be a local shop with a tank big enough to put them in. Shipping them would be a pain.

What are your thoughts guys ... original's repaired or new maintanence free polished stainless??

hey.. you got new paint, and new glass... so I think the new polished stainless would yield the results.
