2011 Super Duty tranny problems
Mine Does the same as RaceTec's does - Not every time just when the trans is somewhat cold - maybe being parked for an hour or more... Outside temps have no effect 90° or 30°..
WIthin minutes I cannot make it do it (once the trans warms)...

2 weeks with truck
So I have had my new truck for exactly two weeks I've put about 750miles on the truck some of which has been in heavy heavy snow. That being said I've noticed some jerking and things and poor shifts but thought it was due to the lack of traction.
Since it has cleared up and the weather gotten warm (50 - 70) I've come to realize it is a transmission problem. I've had some poor shifts as well as missing shifts. Going from Park or Reverse to Drive does it the worst, truck will rev (no motion), then grind, then jerk into drive. Yeah for a car/truck person it is VERY embarrassing esp with the temp tag on it. I NEVER park without the parking brake and always shift at a dead stop with the pedal mashed all the way down just habits I've always had. I haven't figured out anything that can cause this to occur on demand but it's happened at all inclines and declines as well as on flat surfaces and of course it's when I'm parking. The grinding is VERY audible and disturbing it sounds like your hitting the reverse gear in a manual transmission while your driving forward without using the clutch! The fact that it happens at a dead stop makes no sense to me.
I don't have as much trouble with the bad shifts lately more so the miss shifts but have gone from getting about 15mpg (in snow with 4wd on at times) to getting 12.5mpg (in clear weather) so I have a feeling this may be to blame. It is driving me nuts with such low miles I picked it up with only 35miles on it no trouble, then it got snowy so I figured that was to blame now its more and more frequent. Since about 500 miles it has happened about 4 times. I have a long trip scheduled for later this week and have no doubt the truck will do fine but it does annoy me to say the least. I will be having them look into it as soon as i return next Monday.

Well here is what the dealer told me after having my truck for 4 days... That Ford knows about the problem, it is that the direct clutch pack does not get or hold pressure. They are working on a programming fix, so until that is available just let your truck warm up forever and switch back and forth from drive to reverse. This will fill the direct clutch pack and should prevent the problem... Why my dealer needed my truck for 4 days when they could have just investigated and told me over the phone is beyond me!
Thought it was me !
I have this similar problem with mine I always thought it was something I was doing because it always happens when I leave work. I need to pull in to heavy traffic from the work parking lot and it always feels like the tranny is slipping and it reves high at the same place every day . I have about 12,000 mi on mine. It was hard getting used to the tranny searching for a gear going up this big hill on the way to work each day my 6 liter didn't do that. Glad I bought the extended warranty !!

Glad to hear they are working on something. I had my first what the .... moment yesterday. I pulled out onto a busy street with engine and trans both cold (outside temp ~25). Almost full throttle start. First to second wasn't bad but second and beyond was a mess. I let up around 45mph in second and the truck didn't know what to do, the readout dropped it down to first, rpm's held around 3500(my foot was off the throttle) and was unresponsive for about 3-5 seconds. It finally figured out what it wanted to do, dropped from 1st into 4th, then immediately 5th as I was slowing down.
Very strange feeling to say the least but have not seen any issues with the engine and trans both warmed up.

I have the 2011 F250 gas and its giving me 4x4 problems in cold weather. Totally useless if the truck has been packed overnight and you need to get out of a snowy driveway. Even though its in 4x4 high or low, the front end doesn't hook up. The cold gluely diff makes it worse.
It use to be I had to turn the truck off and it would engage but when its cold, it doesn't engage at all.
Today we had a cold snap and dense snow. I actually got stuck. Finally thought to take lock the hubs. Its works that way.
Also noticed the brakes acting weird. Truck wanted to keep moving with the brake depressed.
I have bumper to bumper. Waiting to hear from more people before I take it in. You know how that goes... if there isn't a rally of people experiencing problems, its a waste of time complaining.

Ok, so here is my latest dilemma... This should concern all of us that have had this problem a little bit... The problem according to Ford is "The direct clutch pack not filling with transmission fluid before the direct clutch pack is engaged." Here is my problem with that, and my logic may be flawed and I would love to hear your opinions. After looking at the cut away of the transmission and gathering as much information as possible I am afraid that every time this problem occurs it is burning the direct clutch pack. Every time it flairs and over-revs, that clutch pack is slipping and partially engaged. That means irreparable damage to the clutch discs and steels. Now we may not have a problem for a few years down the road, but when the direct clutch pack fails will our transmissions still be under warranty? Also why is it that some of us are having this problem and others not, if the fix is a programming issue wouldn't everyone have this problem? This seems to be a mechanical problem that they are trying to put a programming band-aid on to me?!?!? I am towing an 10K pound trailer with my truck and almost want the transmission to fail at this point! Any ideas or thoughts?
I only have 500 miles on mine but the only thing I have noticed is a few late shifts, and that's only in the early mornings and only for the first 1/2 mile. I don't know but I have been using the engine block heater every night. Not sure if that could be possible to help with the shifting problems. My 6.2 came with the heater since I am in one of the 14 cold weather states, MI.
I didn't have a choice, they put it on for free.
My truck has been in the shop for three weeks and the dealer went through 2 pcms. I thought my problems were fixed but it jerks when it shifts from 6 th to 4 th at around 45-50 mph. It only does it when it's cold. When everything warms up for about 10-15 mins. It shifts normal. I'm taking it back on Monday to see what they can do. I also noticed that's it seems that the tranny is overfilled. It's way over the marked when I have checked it hot or cold
