very common problem. my grandpa had the same thing happen to the white '98 that was pictured above in the McDonalds drive thru and the truck was only about a year old at the time.
it did not blow the fuse, just a bad connection in the fuse box.
I once ran out of gas in the emissions testing line at the doorway to the drive through garage with 20 cars behind me. My positive was that for a short time it was a zero emissions vehicle.
Long history of running out of gas, longer than I care to remember. Once I took a company car from the motor pool and the guy told me to "watch the gas gage". When I got in it was good, full tank. What he meant to tell me was "watch the gas gage it is broken in the full position". Ran out of gas in the middle lane on the highway 4 miles later.
well i just went through my records and added the numbers up. currently sitting at 87,241 miles.
in 2012 the expedition went a total of 7,515 miles with a dollar amount of $2,617 spent on gas. oil changes, gas and rear axle seals have been the only other $$ spent. i still have the A4wd issue to work out but otherwise the truck is working flawlessly.
i just ordered some lower K headlight bulbs. replacing my 8k headlight bulbs with 6K to get alittle whiter light.
got the new headlight bulbs in, much whiter light then the 8000K bulbs. i think i like the better lighting with the 6k verses the extra blue look. i may switch out the fog lights for either 6k or yellow 3500k's.
the truck was absolutely filthy from the recent warm temps we have been seeing. i drove the expedition because the excursion is alittle more work to clean up.
i have oil and a filter ready to change the oil this week. 5-30 mobile 1 synthetic with a motorcraft filter.
So I don't think we ever got a straight answer. Would you like us to post pictures of what we have done to our Expy's as well or is this forum strictly dedicated to you and yours? I mean I have no problem with that, I'll still follow along your Expy's journey. I just don't want to overstep and boundries that might have been placed without my notice.
this was supposed to be for my truck and its journeys. no issue i just wanted to keep it a update for my truck. its been neat to go back to the first page and look at where it is now.
but please make your own thread as i'd love see see everyone elses photos too!
