boy the aclu would hang you high if they hear the term "eskimo" its about the same as a african american being called a "n&^#@er"
Being politically correct all the time is a pain in the A**! What can people of european descent do if they are called white, whitey, honkey, cracker, soda or whatever?
There are damn few people that are truley white, albinos, maybe. The rest of us all have various shades of color. Shake anyones family tree and there is no telling what might fall out of it.

i personally think its more about people wanting to be treated "special" and partially controlling others. same reason there is college funds for only certain races it seems.

I can agree with you hear. I actually had this conversation with a few folks I know. I asked a closely related question "How come Euro descents are called white/Caucasian America when they are from Europe?"
As for the shacking the family tree, please don't shack mine. You make get an oak tree nut, pine cone, maple seeds, fern branches and all kinds of other pre-jurassic plants.

So in your terms racism is still on going. Same goes for sexism too with college funds. I think it is pretty fair to not want to be labeled a skin color and be called what your ancestry is if you know what they are, lol. goes back to what Moto Mel stated but .... any who, great pics and great views, keep the pictures coming!

AlaskanEx did you have to cut into your rear bumper for those extra lights? I am just noticing them.

yes i'm sorry i meant to get back to you guys but totally spaced it!!
i used a hole saw and sawzall to cut the holes in the bumper for the extra brake lights.
so not much going on with the expy except being driven! she rolled 80k miles!!!
now the other thing i did
when i got my expedition in 8/2010 the only thing wrong with it was a broken rear pass side seat belt buckle. i've been meaning to buy one time and time again...kept forgetting. it was allways a pain when going out with friends or whatever soooo a few months ago a friend of mine that also has a expy was at the junk yard and found a very early build '97 and grabbed the buckle for me.
fast forword to yesterday, he comes over and we go to replace the buckle. quick easy job right? wrong! some time between the very early build '97 (this truck was built in 7/96 and my mid '98 they decided to change the mounting point for the seat buckle!! wtf?! so i ended up cutting the brackets apart, then welding the bottom of my bracket to the new buckle. it sits alittle lower then the rest of the buckles but it works!!! i now can seat 5 in my expy again i know its not a big deal but i have not done much to the expy lately but put miles on it so it was kinda nice to work on her.
all fixed!
other then that shes just been driven..alot! seen alot of snow these days also!
well the alternator died today at 80,5xx miles and it was -10F. it was the stocker i think she lasted pretty good considering.
gotta pickup a new alternator and serpentine belt and replace it sat.
our battery light been flashing on and off every now and then, think its on its way out, put one of them lifetimes oriely ones in last year when it went out.. so waiting for it to stop charging then im heading into the store to swap it out in parkinglot.
yeah my old '00 excursion would have the battery light come on at high RPM's..finally on my way back from fairbanks passing someone and at about 5000rpms the light came on and stayed on. that was around wasilla i made it the last 55 or so miles to my house on battery alone and it still started after i shut it off. i was proud lol
debating on doing the battery also..but that would be a kinda large hit in the pocket book right now.
Well you most certainly have been doing a great job with your vehicles. I haven't had my charge light come on, but I have been having some trouble my 98 Expy not starting some times. I am guessing it is the 2008 battery & alternator as well, the starter is brand new only 3 months old.
