i gotta pull the t-case motor to get to the front hall sensor and i have not had time to do so. maybe this weekend i'll pull it out and clean it. but i would hate to do all that and find out i need a new sensor. pain in the butt.
happy thanksgiving everyone! hope it was a great day for all. i know i'm stuffed!
my little cousin who is growing up way to fast turns 16 in less then a month. he has had his learners permit for almost 2 years now and is doing pretty well. luckily its been a mild winter snow wise so the roads have stayed pretty dry for him. anyhow he wanted to drive today really day, since the turkey was still cooking i said what the hell. we went on a 15 mile round trip drive in the expedition. its the biggest thing he has driven yet (mom has a Honda Pilot and dad a GMC Canyon. i have to say he did really well! i was obviously very nervous but he held his lane well and was very cautious. that made me smile because he had this huge grin the whole time haha.
after dinner headed home the fuel light came on i knew i'd done alot of idling this tank due to the cold weather. i estimate about 6 hours of idle time on this tank. 225 miles and 28.2 gallons of gas. 8 MPG LOL its amazing how much idling kills the mpgs.
Glad to here you are having fun with your cousin. I am 16 right now myself and it helps alot when we have fun like that. Although our Expedition isn't the biggest thing I have driven it still is fun.

i dont think i ever posted this pic here, i found it again and thought i would share.
this is the whole reason i own a '98 XLT expedition today. when i was 8 years old my grandpa needed to get a new company truck. i picked out his '98 4.6 4x4 xlt w/leather, tow pkg, rear heat, 3rd row right off the show room floor of the local ford dealer calworthington ford. i was 8 years old when this pic was taken and the truck was about 5 months old. i have carfaxed the truck and its still registered and local. wish i could see it. when the lease was up on it she only had 27k miles and was in pristine condition i'm sure it no longer is.
fuse 13...oh how i hate you! before i got the truck i detailed it for my grandpas company. i had a problem with it not coming out of park/ no brake lights. found out it was fuse 13. i replaced the fuse and bent the ends alittle to make better contact.
fast foreword 7:30am today, i'm on my way to work. stop at my normal coffee stand to get a drink before work. one car infront of me. after i pull up about 7 more cars pull up behind me. car infront of me pulls away and guess what...IT WONT COME OUT OF PARK! the coffee girl is waving me foreword and people are getting pissed behind me. i jump out open the door as much as possible since i'm next to a drive up and fiddle with #13 fuse and get it working enough to get it out of park. at lunch time at work i pulled it in and replaced the fuse with a new one this one was slightly corroded. also bent the contacts alittle and added dielectric grease to it. hopefully wont have that issue again anytime soon.
on a happier note on my way home from visiting my grandma in the hospital i rolled over 87k miles on the old girl. shes due for a oil change so thats all she gets for a present lol
