washed the expy all up tonight, i need to give it a good polish and wax still plussss a good deep cleaning on the interior. it has not been deep cleaned on the inside since last fall.

also washed the excursion up also so it took double the time but worth it!

new wheels and tires...

not for good! lol guy in my grandpas office got his old '03 f-150 lariat a few years ago when he got his '04. so after a few years he decided to get a new truck..traded it in on a new toyota tundra(ugh) when he traded it he left the winter wheels/tires on it...sooo i took the summer wheels off his hands. cleaned them up and i'll resell them. but i put them on the expy for fun to see what she would look like. i like the wheel but with the highway tread tires they just look whimpy! i do like all the chrome though! i'll pull them off in a day or two and put my ultra rouge wheels back on

the steel chrome ones are much heavier!

tonight we made alittle drive out to girdwood, beautiful day turned alittle chilly/cloudy.

we headed out there about 11pm with the endless alaskan summer nights you can get alot done we got out there drove around alittle bit..went up one of my favored roads. part of it was still blocked by snow and everyone had parked at the start of the road. i decided to try running up it. i made it a good ways before a avalanche stopped me from any more foreword movement.

the start of the road

hiked up by foot a ways to check it out before trying it. looking back at the truck backed up to the start of the road.

after making it up as far as i could.

shot of the road

almost back to town, almost midnight

have not got many miles on the expy as of late. went a month and 9 day before getting gas LOL just filled it up today.

going to let family from Chicago borrow the expedition for 3 weeks well they are in town, they plan on going all over the state with it. gotta clean it all up and make sure its ready for all the miles they are going to put it on.

used it today to do alittle lawn mowing.

I just finished going through this thread from start to finish. Its so cool watching your truck develop. I love the pictures of the truck and terrain! My wife and I want to come visit Alaska someday. I have some friends that were born and raised in Anchorage. They live in Michigan now (home for me and my wife) and go on and on about home (Alaska).

i encourage everyone to come and see this great land...but dont rent a RV and drive 35 down the highway please! haha

so, i have officially passed the 20,000 mile mark since buying this truck 2 years ago this month. i have to say i'm very proud of this $2500 cream puff.. 1 alternator, 1 belt, set of plugs, set of brake pads all around and otherwise its been oil changes every 5-7k (synthetic) and lot of gas!

as of tonight i sit at 84,184 miles. in the time i've owned it i've spent $7,449.71 on gas LOL but loved every mile! made alot of memories in this truck that i will cherish i hope to keep modding and maintain this truck for years and many miles to come. heres to rolling 100k!

every fill up accounted for

as she sits today 8/7/12...she needs a really good detailing inside and out. soon as i get time it will happen!
