around town, yep! get about 1-2mpg better then the excursion in town. on the highway thought it jumps way up. but 98 percent of my driving is stop/go city driving with a heavy foot.
i just got my expedition back from some family using it for 3 weeks and putting 2k miles on it. so glad to have her back!
went out to the state fair in Palmer,AK yesterday. on the way home we stopped at kink river to mess around alittle bit. the water was pretty high so i didnt get out as far as i wanted. but i did get to cross some water..i'm guessing it was about 12" or so with a decent current. went up a few tight trails and didnt get alot of pics but wanted to share anyhow.

I think I would've freaked out if someone borrowed one of my vehicles and brought it back with an additional 2K on it. If you do the math 2K is about 1% of what you get out of these trucks before getting into major repairs. Maybe 2K miles up in Alaska is just a trip to the store , but around here it's 6-months worth of driving.
after my family had the expy for 3 weeks and put 2k on it she was FILTHY! inside and out also considering the last full deep cleaning she had was 4/11 it really needed it!!
so i washed her, did the whole interior. get a coat of wax on there within the week. she sure shines up nice for being almost 15 years old

You should make it a condition that your truck is returned to you the way they recieved it, With fresh oil and filter, CLEAN and a full tank of gas, at least. Either that or let them go to Hertz or Avis and get a vehicle, the rental companies are used to their stuff being returned dirty.
I used to tell my customers at my m/c shop thet they are better off loaning out their wives or girlfriends than their bikes, at least they will know how they were treated.
lol its all okay guys. the truck was dirty when i gave it to them. i found no reason to clean it before they would be carting around two small kids. i changed the oil before they took it and i go about 7k between changes so i'm still good there. they gave it back with a full tank and thats all i asked
Actually, you know I'm kidding. If I were to go to Alaska I would drive my Navigator as I love to travel and see new places as well as to visit some of the places I've been to before.
