just to make it legal for now. I'll pick up some new LED tails some time in the future. I have some large expenses going out now, so it'll be a little bit.
Well, this Saturday night it blew the same plug it blew before i bought it. That one had a helicoil on it that lasted roughly 5 years and 50k miles.
I don't have time to fix it so i spoke with a shop that has done hundreds of plug fixes on these fords and they say that they can repair it with a timesert (sp) for a very reasonable price. I'm also going to have them check all the other plugs, if not change them again just because.
The thought has crossed my mind to sell this truck, but i think i'm crazy to do so. I paid next to nothing for it, its been very trouble free for me. After this and rebuilding the front end it should last a very, very long time.
Just discovered this epic thread the other day. What a great color on a great truck! Good to see you taking good care of it. Love the Alaskan adventure photos!
Washed the beast up tonight, First hand washing of the year...i've been neglecting it
Found out my sway bar end links are missing in the front, that might account for the boat like handling as of recently..don't know where the hell they went! Need to do those and an oil change. otherwise she is trucking along like a champ, gonna roll 110k here soon.
Okay, The Expy is needing some love. The ABS light came on today which made me give it a good looking over, found a few things.
1. Transfer case is leaking at the tail shaft
2. Left rear axle seal is blown out AGAIN!
3. Sway bar end links are still gone...i know pure laziness
4. Looks like the left front ABS wire may have been damaged by the loose sway bar
5. Oil leak (minor) going to the remote oil filter mount, not any worse but should get fixed
