She's home! $1,153.35 later that is, plus i had to get $166 in parts to do a few things i wanted to do myself to save a buck.
Here's the new stuff:
1. Transfer case tail shaft bushing and seal
2. Rear axle seals, bearings, brake pads, rotors, shoes
3. Sway bar end links
4. Front brake pads
5. Left front ABS wheel sensor
Drives better then it has in awhile!
I'll need to do the ball joints in the next few months as they said they are getting pretty close to needing to be replaced.
I washed it up after getting it home and finishing the brakes and ABS sensor myself.
Well, with any luck this year will be different then last. We broke a all time low snowfall record last winter. Only 25" fell over the course of the whole season! Typically we are closer to 80" and just a few years ago we broke records with 200+" in places around town.
They are calling for another warm winter, hopefully it'll be cold enough for tons and tons of snow, I sure hope so since my job is selling snow plows!
Ha! Oklahoman meteorologists are saying we are going to have a cold, wet winter! Maybe we're on some sort of weather exchange program?? At least my Expedition has 4WD!

With those numbers it might be time to sell the Expedition and buy a motorcycle to drive around.
Well, I hate to say it guys but i'm about at the end of the road with my Expedition.
It has blown the same spark plug again. I'm going to have another repair done (last chance time cert) and clean it up, then sell it. With it being almost 20 years old it's going to nickle and dime me more and more. I would keep it and just dump some more cash into it, but my Grandmother replaced her 2006 Chrysler 300C HEMI AWD 47k miles with a 2014 Chrysler 300c HEMI AWD in January. I have decided to purchase her old 2006 from her, so it will take place of the Expedition. I can still obtain a good price out of the Expedition right now so it's just time to move on.
I'll post pre-sale photos of it fully detailed. This was taken Sept 29th.
Today, I loaded it up to haul down to the shop doing the repair on the plug.
Nah, I have the Excursion so i don't have a need for another SUV. I love the 300's and i test drove this car the day it was bought new and probably put 10k miles on it over the years. It's 8 years newer then the Expy and only has 47k miles…it'll last a long time!
I called the shop today that has the Expy and they have not been able to start on it yet…
disregard the last PM i sent you asking what was wrong with the truck, i just read the above posts.
that sucks, but i guess that is true with the excursion, don't really need another SUV. hell, since i bought my 04 dually 6.0, thats all i've been driving. i feel like im neglecting my excursion!
The Excursion is an awesome SUV! It's a shame they discontinued it, was very nice for those who needed something more heavy duty than a Expedition and did not want to buy a pickup truck.
Well guys, I got the truck back on Friday, it's running great. I've cleaned it up and it is now listed for sale with a set of snow tires locally. Also changed the oil last night.
I'll really miss this truck!! I wish there was a way to keep it...but there just isn't.
Heres some pics from today, the husky liners were drying in the garage.
