thats exactly what i was going for absolutly exactly, i looked at them this morning. im just not done at all yet, but yes so do you agree with the guy to bolt them fully to the frame? i like that idea now that i can still use the original mountin plate for other pieces with alittle amount of waste. so i think im going to make new ones. i just figured, no matter how much i bolt them to the frame. im still going to have to make a backing plate that wont let it bend inward why waste the time? but will it do me that much better? thanks
All of these guys have been there, done that Dillin. You need to slow down and think about what you're doing before you do it. Draw some stuff up, look over it, think about it, ask for opinions first... THEN go try to make it. How much metal have you wasted re doing stuff? Not tryin to knock you down man, it's great that you're trying, but these guys have been around the block and know what they're talking about (except for that fat one from VA, he's just an idiot )
And really man, having a "monster truck" is a lot more than 8 ft of dropped spring hangers. If you want to do that go start reading about 4 links and coilovers and start saving your money. Good luck man.

Really, you change your water pump yet? Or how about the simple thing like pulling a plug after it gets hot?
ya thanks paul, ya i looked at nicks and really like them and thats what im going for, i just didnt think about putting them more up on te frame because thats how mark told me to do the stock hangers as long as i put a backin on it. so i guess well i just do it that way and make it a little longer, acually the good thing is all this metal was given to me by the metal shop. i was going to have them punch all the metal out cause i hate cutoff wheels, but they didnt have time to do it till next week so they decided to give 2x2 of 1/4" i dont think i will waste any i think i will be able to cute up the origianl mountin plates and use them to keep it all square.
well idk i was just wondering coming home from the shop what i should do for the motor. i dont want to really do a 351m anymore cause theres not awhole lot of avliableness for them. i would just like to start with a 460 and do it right the first time. my goal is high 400 or low 600 i know thats a hugh range but i would be satisfied either way. what would be a rough price for a 500 horse 460 if i do all the building my self? and on the drop front hanger of corse im going to gusset the front side and on the back side to the frame, but they just seem flimsy still what about a small crossmember between them to just not let them buckle in?
