It is a 5/8 bolt. I will put grade 8's in, its a hiem joint. Jb machines angular bushings for them, and thats the setup he always run, so I feel safe with that. I would love to get the motor out this weekend, work is getting crazy again though. So I have no clue?

If JB didnt already use grade 8 stuff (not to mention a bolt as small as 5/8s used in this manner)then Im really going to question his knowledge.

A single 5/8" grade 5 bolt is not strong enough IMO as the only thing holding a key suspension component to the frame. All the force from the entire suspension is pushing and pulling lateraly on the middle of this bolt. This is the time to overbuild something. IIRC the stock 73-79 radius arms have a 1 1/8" threaded portion.

The comparison to the stock setup isn't really valid because that is in tension, whereas with a heim style joint it is in shear. I think the stone crusher setup is 3/4" bolt though, so that's probably the minimum you'd want to go with.
