thanks man that makes perfect sense. well for everyone that doesnt know my plans for my truck. here they are i know its going to be expensive but i think i can pull it off. i have one tons, chromo 35 spline up front, rear disk back, hrydoboost brakes, high steer with cross over, now looks like a 460 rebuilt or maybe a slightly used one just have to check out CL and see what i can find for my price range, lockers front and back, already got a set of 44s, 13" lift, hyrdo assist steering, 1410 yoke and u joint. as you said my main goal is to build a bullet proof drivetrain so i dont ever have to do that again. i wish i wouldnt of bought my tires but they are brand new pitbull rockers for $900 but should do decent, next set will be boggers. but o well, idk we will have to see what happens my goal to have it completed is august 1st but idk if that will happen. i want it done for my senior year but depends on how much i get to work this summer will let me know. im trying to get two jobs but idk. thanks for the support.
Yep, I think Paul has a better chance of being proven straight and Kris (either one of them!) had a better chance on not being proven to be a dumb **** than you getting this thing done by Aug 1st. Not trying to burst your bubble, just giving a little reality check.
ok another problem i have been wondering about is my radius arms. if i bolt them up my bucket wont sit flatand it will move my axle back alittle bit. and at first i was just going to put a wedge under it but i cant figure out how to do it with getting my bolt holes straight up and down and being able to access the radius arm cap bolts. so i have been thinkin and i was wondering if you guys something thought something along this line would work. Just a thought i have no clue how it would do just wondering,my thoughts were too weld two 1/4 plate two on one of the sides with a 1/4 inch gap so it fits nice and snug, only problem is the radius arms have the I beamish same so i couldnt put a lot of weld on it.? idk just kinda wondering if anyone has some ideas for me thanks.
You need to make drop brackets for the rear of the arm. You really want them mostly parallel with the ground and not angled way down like that. I'll explain more when I get home and on the computer (and not my phone).
This truck has a superlift 9 or 10" lift and 40s with the brackets installed. Notice how the factory radius arms are pretty much parallel like Karl was saying.
ok well when i mocked up my axle, mine were at a crazy angle and i have that same drop piece as is on that truck and i was talking to a guy and he said i want to be careful on how long i get those hangers dropped down? so im just puzzled
