started by removing to diamond plate bed liner to find a metric s ton of dirt. then charged the batteries to test the lights and got a few working............
also there are no high or low beams, just headlights.........
looks like that bed could use a nice Line-X bed liner
Nice lookin truck! a little TLC here and there and she'll be right back to new
it has a diamond plate bed liner
and yes i plan to keep pics updated on the work of tlc. i cant wait to get all the lights working so its like a big christmas tree. i dont think i will be adding any except maybe bumper guides up front and bed work lights

We got this one today.. it is a xlt lariat with manual windows and locks. The guy before us bought it for the transmissin for his truck 3 years ago.. We picked it up for 300. Minor damage throughout and the interior is pretty bad but its fixable...... might just part it out. Havent decided
This is my brothers new truck (although its not an idi i figured i might as well post it) Picked it up for 2300.. rebuilt trans and 230000 miles on the truck...

This is our old beater shoptruck weve had it for a long time. It probably has about 300000-400000 miles......

This is the truck we used to haul everything.. this is an old photo before we finished it.... Picked it up smashed like the first one for 2600 with a new motor...Has banks turbo kit... its having major issues recentally. Towing today and yesterday it would get really shakey and the shifter would shake violently and it is GUTLESS.

forgot to mention my truck has an ats turbo, is this a good brand?
yes.Advanced Turbo Systems.they made the ones for ford in 93/first part of 94 w/idi still for the factory optional turbo.
they made 3 different ones and then i think a 4th called "auroa" or something like that, but by this time the call for idi aftermarket parts was pretty low on sales,so it never really took off,and they discontinued all sales for turbos and parts "about" a year or so ago now.
take a pic of it and toss it up.im sure someone here can identify it as the 085/088 or possibly (but unlikely due to the age,and possibly cent adding it? at this time) the wastegated 093.
it's probably the 088 id guess.decent for sure, but not the best for "off line" grunt like the latter 093 was, which had quicker spool up off line.
any idi turbo is far better than no turbo.
fell free to make new threads too,as this one is a more a show and tell type.im sure you'll have plenty more questions.
You say that, but my truck has vastly more AIS (*** in seat) power than my mothers 98 1/2 ton has like 40+ hp on mine, granted it's torque but still. My truck acts so speedy, it's throttle responce is better than a lot of other trucks out there that I run into, or buddies have. They will always have the nose on my through 1st and 2nd gear, and I leave them behind come 3rd.. I honestly think a turbo would get me killed.
im right there with ya.im sure a lot of folks here would be surprised, with how a well tuned n/a really goes if they drove my (even 8k lbs empty) truck.
iv got no problems moving either.though i drive like granny anyway.when i put the banks on,she'll just be there for economy (and hills when really loaded lol.)
73f250highboy,
use that diesel truck's engine/trans for that gas pig crew cab and a make a perfect truck (combine the two top trucks.)
but it looks like she's still good enough to run as is though with a new bumper.may be too good to become a donor yet.
7.3k here, even when the bed was loaded up to the roof she drove like a bat out of hell when I wanted her too. I drive like a granny in town as well, big truck, takes time to stop, can smush prius. Rather not have killing somebody on my concious even if it wasn't my fault, when I could have been going slower and not. Although if I'm alone in the truck and it's at night with empty freeway, all bets are off. I actually caught myself going 75 up a 10% grade and accelerating , and egt's were just starting to get sketchy (over 1000)
She does dislike towing at speeds over 100km/h (60mph), more to do with wind resistance than weight I think, ran into the same issue with a 8k horse trailer as I did with a 200lb garbage trailer, felt like i was dragging an anchor over 80km/h with both. She did struggle on the sustained hills from egt issues. But now that she's straight piped, she's doing a hell of a lot better up them and not slowing down anywhere near as much. This drive train eventually will end up in a bronco, as my bush/getaway/camping vehicle, and will probably end up irritating my future wife and kids.
