Sounds familiar. Tried to rep you but the rep police stopped me at the border.
you must be in Arizona lol. thats just funny
I hope you didn't take my posts as directed toward you, just trying to lighten the mood by posting the bunny pic. And I would also like to thank you for your service!
not at all. this is some of the most fun on here ive had since to 6.0 vs 7.3 forum.
Pretty good. I have not towed anything with it yet, I will make a 0-60 vid when I do.
looking forward to it!
thanks everyone for the backup. i could have said plenny back to him on the zoomies but i wont step to that level. i think the funniest part is that he thinks were the ones but hurt.
anyhow only two more weeks in the military then im outta this place. back to PA for me!!!
Phillips likes to post crap, and then deny he even posted it.
No, that isn't true at all. What happens is I post something, you don't read half of it, think I said something that I didn't, and then when I correct you about what I actually said you accuse me of backpedaling.
If you are referring to me I did not once negative rep you (nor positive rep for that matter). You might want to go back and look in your user control panel. Get your story straight.
Oh and you might want to go back and actually click on the link I posted for you before. Just in case you're getting lighted head up there in the mountains here it is again. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ideo-post.html
And I never mentioned YOU by name. Your compadre did. Someone had repped my account in the negative before that senseless twit did the same. Whoever it was got repped back by my kid. I (ME) repped the other idiot last night as he did it to me first. I never said you repped me either way. Again, your buddy did.
Are you attempting to bash an entire branch of the military or are you just going after their service academy?
Mountaineer27, thank you for your service.
I'm retired from the Army...We bash each other all the time. Don't try and pull out that card...You don't have the creds unless you're retired yourself.
Missed that one Rush. Shame that such things are said regardless of what damn engine you have in your truck. Thanks for your service Mountaineer. My older brother is in the AF (20+ years now). Currently he is serving in Afghanistan.
I did 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan before I retired. As an Infantryman. My oldest kid is in Iraq as a Cavalry Scout, and my youngest is already signed up to be an Airborne Infantryman when he's not messing (up) around on my computer. Don't even attempt to talk to me about familial sacrifice.
A few of you are trying to take a theme that's played out for decades and twist it to start another argument. Unfortunately, he's falling for it hook, line, and sinker which shows a propensity to be a follower instead of a leader.
Wow, looks like ya'll have been having lots of fun since i was on last.
And Zoomies? really? Those are definitely some fighting words there. Even though you are retired Army, You need to remember that we are still fighting to keep this country free for you and your family. I'll be the first to say that name calling military members is unacceptable.
And with the way you think your 6.4 runs, i'm sure you think you'd make my 7.3 spontaneously combust on the way up Vail pass too huh?
Like you've never called someone in the Army a name? Sorry, I thought ya'll had thicker skin than that. Guess I was wrong.
You know it's really amazing how Phillips91, Seven-Point-Three, Mountaineer27, and myself have been arguing with ChargersFanInCO about this for quite some time now, and we all own PSDs!
What happened to having an objective debate? Why do some insist on resorting to the "MY truck is the ONLY truck on the road" mantra?
Why can't some enjoy their purchase and still respect the fact that others made a different choice? Are people such as this afraid that showing respect for a different engine will somehow be interpreted as a sign of weakness? Maybe they are still trying to justify their purchase?
I have to admit that after spending some time in this thread that we were very lucky that nobody showed up to our comparison meets with this attitude. It was really a cool experience to get out there with other FTE-ers who weren't there to belittle others and their trucks simply to feel superior. This is probably why we had such a great time and why we did it three times within 8 months.
ChargersFan, why can't you understand that any truck that fulfills it's purpose and satisfies it's owner is a GREAT truck? Rangers, E-series, F150s, Super Duties, Escapes, Edges, Flexes, Expeditions, Excursions, as well as ANY other truck or SUV can be a great truck in the right circumstances with the right owner. Why does yours always have to be the best?
Tom, I merely asked what axle I had since someone was trying to tell me how fast my wheels were spinning at what engine RPM. It went downhill from there.
Then that someone started saying he was talking about another model of engine, and when I quoted his post via copy/paste he got butt-hurt and others started running their mouths.
My offer to him still stands. Buy a V10, and bring it on up here. I'll make him wish he'd bought a Power Stroke. If you want to defend the V10, go for it. I'm sure it has a purpose as I've said before. It just has no purpose for me, and when I say it, it offends people. Hopefully they don't blow their brains over it.

DEP Delayed Entry Program...You get a bonus for that. He is 17 now. He turned 17 last week and has been talking to a recruiter since he was 16 when he could do so legally. Don't try to trip me up on truth. You'll fail. He was going to be a mechanic, but they are "balanced" at the moment, so he did the Infantry route for a few years until he can switch over to the maintenance side of things.

Yes I know all about the $1400 bonus we give to high school seniors. I'm a recruiter.
We can't do anything with 16-year-olds until they are within a week of their 17th birthday, and at that point we can only have them take the ASVAB. NOTHING else can be done prior to their 17th birthday.
Either way, getting back on topic, why are you so insistent that your engine has to be better? At MSRP a V10 truck would cost ~$7,000 less than your PSD and tow the same weight. That's nearly $140 cheaper each month if you finance.
I think the V10 is clearly the better value here. So how come that can't be a better choice? Because that's not the one you own???
