my PT girl did the same thing for me with the blown out rotator cuffs. she stressed concentrating on a slow letdown therapy at arm length rather than lifting at length. it hurt like hell, but it made a big difference in building up muscle tone for pain management and shoulder strength.
at start, i had problems with 1 lb. now i do 3 10 count reps from touching weights over my head to down at my side, alternating front drops and side drops with
10 lb weights.
My arms were perfectly healthy and it was killin me...I cant imagine it with an injury like you had!

That happened to me one time. I went to Walmart bought one that morning, used it and took it back and said it was the wrong one!

$350 for the consultation with a dermatologist, and for the meds mattie will need to kick her current infections. She is now on an antibiotic, antifungal, a steroid...ear drops, ear flush...heartworm. I am going to need a pill sorter just for Mattie.
We're going to have to put her on a natural diet. If she doesn't react positively to the natural diet, we have to go back in for $400 worth of allergy testing, and develop a shot for her allergies, which she'd have to be on for the rest of her life.
So for now I gotta figure out what type of natural diet to put her on. She has to have a meat she's never had before...like venison, alligator, ostrich, kangaroo...you get the idea. Hoping I will be able to find a reliable source of venison around here.....
Looks like it cost ya both arms!
Glad things are lookin positive for Mattie for the time being! Good luck with the meat situation...
Dont really know how to rephrase that to not sound so strange...lol

Thanks Tristan. Yeah I about swallowed my tongue when I saw the invoice.

the first time i tried it with 1 lb weights, i hurt so bad i was in tears. after 3 months of every other day workouts, i was up to 10 lbs.
i still try to workout at least once a week to keep muscle tone. it is hard in the winter with the arthritis i have, but i do my best. the whole thing that started this was for pain management without surgery, but the Physical Terrorist told me this workout would deal with the pain, and build up strength better than all the rubber band exercises that are traditionally done for rotator cuff injury's. and dang if she wasn't rite!!

I got told that was half the battle. For my injury I didnt find it to be a huge problem.

Don't worry, Tom. Physical Therapists aren't just crazy with their patients. They're that crazy at home too. I live with one.
Well I'm tired. I spent 8-6 out and about today.
I split my time between:
Getting a rototiller working (troybilt dunno how many HP)
Getting a snowblower working (Husqvarna 26" w/9hp Tecumseh)
Jackhammering out a couple pieces of concrete that were column supports
Tearing down an old shack.
Grading where the shack was.
Unclogging the overflow pipe for the spring.
Digging out the pipe that the overflow is connected to. The old clay pipe broke in.
The rototiller is working now.
The snowblower had a ton of crap built up in the sediment bowl so I cleaned it out. I got it to kick over a few times and I figured the sediment bowl must have clogged again so I pulled it out and it was a little dirty, but not bad. I went to put the needle valve back in and broke the dumb thing. I got it out, but I need a replacement now.
I'm sure I forgot something or another.
What was everyone else up to today? Aside from Lisa. We already know she had fun at the vet and is now looking for odd meats.
Man Pete. you sure had a productive day working on the farm.
Do you have tomorrow saved for your truck mods ?
No. Tomorrow is saved for homework. I have all week week after this coming one to do whatever I need to.
The mods are waiting for Jim to come down though.
I have an old broken mower I might be able to pull a needle valve out of.
If I'm down the farm at all tomorrow I'll make sure I bring my camera. I'll get a few pics overlooking the whole farm and then a pic or two of SuperDuty row. We've got a shed that has dad's PSD, my PSD, and my bro's PSD in it. Mine and dad's are in one bay and my bro's is in another.
Never really broke anything. Dislocated a finger once and the bone that the tendon was attached to chipped off. Had it in a splint for a while. Thats about it other than countless cuts. Never even had stitches.
Had a good day working my A** in the ground today.Only to have one of my buddys call me up this evening to tell me how much fun they had at mud run today. And how sorry he was, because everybody we know was there with there trucks having fun and that he frogot to call.
I politly told him to F***OFF and hung up the phone.
