BRENDAN is moving, Brandon is staying right here in the warm south.
The same "warm south" that just happens to be getting off-and-on batches of hail for the next couple of days.... we're going to have to replace our windows on the house very, very soon... there'ss o much glazing missing on these old single-panes that water came in last night in a couple of places. If I can jumpo on it in the next month, we'll see some lower A/C costs this summer with the newer double-panes. It hasn't even got hot yet and we've already seen our first >$200 power bill!!

Doubles?! Up here in our new house we are getting triple pane low e windows with argon! (I asked if they had a turbo add on, but they didnt get it, only I thought that was funny)
Compared to the price of tires up here, thats a smoking deal!
Im really considering getting one of you guys down there to buy a set of toyos for me, and ship them up. I bet I would still save a few hundred bucks over the cost of them up here.
Maryland is below the Mason-Dixon line so technically, I'm a Southerner!
(in my best Foghorn Leghorn voice)
Tarnation boy, I'm talkin about the deep South, Dixie that is. In Dixie the only white stuff you see in our fields is when the cotton blossoms, and the Azealas bloom. Terrapins I say, why, they is still called turtles down here, or road kill depending upon your position.
Well O.K. since you do drive a PSD we'll let you be an Honorary Southerner, but you are still too close to all them Flim Flam artist politicians in D.C. for your safety.
Just dropped Chase's car off at Best Buy to have his new stereo and speakers that we got him for his bday today. My birthday didn't bug me but having a kid that is a year away from his 20's is bugging me. lol. I am WAY to young for this this. haha.
Brandon...next storms should be better than last night....
11 News Meteorologist David Paul said the storms are part of a big system expanding and moving in from the west.
“I think hail and straight-line damaging winds will be the biggest severe threats this afternoon and tonight as our next disturbance rolls in,” Paul said.
Paul said the storms also have the possibility of producing scattered funnel clouds and lightning, but the worst of it will be over by midnight.
The incoming nasty weather is arriving on the heels of a major storm system that tore through Southeast Texas Wednesday night.
Those storms spawned multiple funnel clouds, dropped hail and brought traffic to a standstill on I-45.
11 News Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman reported that a tornado touched down in the Huntsville State Park.
In Montgomery County, a tree fell through a home. Officials were rushing to patch up that damage before the next round of rain arrives.
More than 27,000 customers were left in the dark during the storm.
