All this time and I just NOW see youre in Newport. I went through there one time on the way to Alabama. Big wreck on 81/40 and only thing I remember is a Rusty Wallace dealership(I think)! lol
Yea, I didnt technically have it in my possession. Buddy of mine owns a junkyard in town and said he had one. Turned out to be the same 7.3 cooler...I was a lil mad...
Yep, Rusty Wallace is out near 432 exit on I-40 . Are you talking about the 40-81 split? If so,there is always wrecks there. Its like people can't make up there minds if they wanna go north/south or east/west at that spot. lol
Yes sir...thats the place! Thats usually right about when I fill the truck up if I plan on going the whole way. If not I go to 407 and stay there for the night and visit the Knife Works shop down there. Father bought me my first knife there and I still have it. Benchmade Emerson CQC7...old but effective knife! Stayed there over Thanksgiving week and it snowed like crazy!
Smokey Mountain knife Works is a pretty cool place. Back about 10 years ago, I worked in a garage and worked on the owners brothers car. He gave me a hook up with him to buy stuff for the Newport Rescue Squad and you wouldn't believe the markup on that stuff. Most is way over 50%
Oh I do believe it. I was in the car stereo business...markup...ha...good lord. I bought some Sony 10" woofers at 12 bucks a pop shipped to me from Cali. I think I had 40 or so at that price. Sold all of them for 89 a piece. Sold them cheaper if you bought more than 2 as well. Woofers and amps were biggest markups. A lot of the shops around here would charge an arm and a leg for a "custom" box. I made boxes specific to the car/truck and charged a lil more than what it cost me and for my time....some were charging 300-500 for some MDF, glue, and carpet basically. If you have the tools time wasnt to big of a concern.
My knife was like 120 bucks there years and years ago. I see them on ebay every so often for like 150. Emerson and Benchmade cut ties years ago.
here ya go Jim, Ill let you read about the girls in Alabama.
this is what Claynation had to say about Auburn girls. . Auburn: These girls are just hot. Aside from non-functional belts, there didn't seem to be any one particular type of style that was popular here. Girls were in sweatpants, jeans, khakis, pants, jerseys, sundresses. It didn't matter what they were wearing, they were hot. And if I didn't know better, I'd think some of the Hope Scholarship money is getting secretly funneled into Auburn. In fact, it's altogether possible there is a secret Tunnel of Hotness somehow connecting both Athens and Auburn. This place was No. 2 on the cleavage meter.
TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! 6-10k selling price...no way in hell I would buy that. I might have bought one as a shop display or something but not to use in my truck. Bad thing about it one of my distributors sold MTX and I never got to see the dealer price on that before he told MTX to kiss his azz. He packed up EVERYTHING MTX in his warehouse and shipped it back to MTX and ended his relationship with them. He said they started making a crappy product and they raised prices way too high!
