This is me and Peter (Duck_fan). and one of my client's Benzo in the middle. Looks kinda funny sitting there.
Anyone else have a pretty good day today? I sure did!
I also start week one, of a 8 week workout type deal that I have been eyeing up. Gotta wait for Joe to share the info of his secret workout, so i decided to start my own! (well one I found in a magazine haha)
Working out is all about muscle memory. Your muscles have memory cells in them. this is where the saying "once you learne how to ride a bike you never forget" comes from. If you do the same work out routine for more then two weeks straight your muscles learn how much they need to grow to handle what you are doing. Make yourself a workout schedule. Do that for two weeks, then COMPLETELY CHANGE your routine. Change your routine every two week's. You will speed up the proses of burning fat and building muscle by about 5X's.
You got er Nolan. What I am planning to try changes every week.
Its a no-gym type workout too, which i have been looking for, for awhile. All my gym equipment, and free weights are sitting in a shed at my dads house, no room for them here. So i searched and searched for a no-gym type workout, I hope it works as good as it is supposed too since I dont have time to go to the gym right now either.
If you stick to it it will work. Its not about how much you lift or how many pull-ups you do its about giving your muscles a good work out every time and not letting them get lazy by doing the same thing every time you work out.

I feel this needs some clarification, our muscles do not have memory cells in them...it is more of a brain body connection. Repetitive movements are learned by the brain and it tells the body (muscles) what to do with out us thinking about it (the riding the bike thing). This is muscle memory
Working out is about stimulating and pushing our muscles and or cardiovascular system beyond it normal operating level, so it will adapt and reset it's normal level somewhere above where it used to be. The result is increased cardiovascular capacity and increased muscle mass and strength.
It is good to have variety in your workout, and will help you have a more well rounded workout, and keep you from getting bored. You have to push your self to increase the load, whether it is weight on a lift or intensity or duration of a cardio exercise. You can change your routine all you want, but if you don't increase the workout load from the last few workouts, you will never see much gain.
Wheew, I didn't mean to attack your post, but I feel I have some insite on this.
Thank you Jason i was trying to think of how to explain it but after my 15 hour day at a horse show i was having a hard time.... I read what i wrote after i took a shower and realized that i made it sound like our muscles have brains... LOL Im off to bed!
So, do you think it would be wise to workout on the machines for the two weeks and then workout on free weights for the next two weeks. Or, workout with both machines and free weights, but increase the weights you are lifting by a small amount everyday you work out. I believe, if you cannot complete your reps and sets you should stay at that weight the next time you workout. If, you complete your reps and sets, then you move up. Am I on track?
