Finally checked my email, from a week ago, after getting caught up here(I have time to do that since its been so slow,Ha Ha). Looks like Metallica is hitting the John Paul Jones arena in Charlottesville on Oct. 18.....I'm so hitting that, or at least try to. Scott, you did it after posting those pics of them the other day.
You won't be sorry. The show that we saw last week was the tightest and loudest that I have EVER seen them.
Ed: I'm just breakin your *****. No need for any of that.
Sheldon: Sorry to hear about that. Just another reminder of why safety needs to be priority #1 and even if you're doing everything right things can still go wrong.
And I just finished my last classroom stuff for drivers ed. Now I need to schedule my test and one more do one more onroad with an instructor that they don't let you schedule until you schedule a test.
I'm pretty sure they bring you up to where they do the tests and have you go through everything there.
Pete your oh so right. I dont know exactly what happened right now, but I do know my uncle has had a few close calls before.
A few years ago he got burnt really bad and just about passed away there. He was working on an old d8 cat he has, and something happened where something lit up on fire fast, he inhaled a bunch of fire, and had to get a bunch of skin grafts to fix him up.
What a guy though. Ive never knew anyone like him that could fix the things that he could fix. He completely rebuilt a model a or t from ground up, original. He was working on a 27 chev truck. One of his hobbies was fixing and making parts for pocket watch's. He has a shop (messy as hell haha) FULL of tools like lathes, welders, plasma cutters. The man would buy tons of stuff from auction sales, you name it, if it was cheap he would buy it haha.

Sounds like dad!
We've got 3 Bridgeport machines sitting in the bottom of the barn because they were cheap. 1 lathe a genset/welder thing, etc. etc.
Don't get me wrong he has his redeeming qualities, but safety and cleanliness are not his strong suits...
Wow, Sheldon. Sorry to hear the news. Sounds a lot like my grandfather. I wasnt at the age of tinkering and building things when he passed away so I missed out on a lot. Just be glad you got to spend time with him! You know we will all be here for ya, bud!
Ya know, I feel sad for my grandma too. Her husband passed away in 89, and my uncle had been doing all the farming and housekeeping and whatnot. Now she is gonna have to move, and who the hell knows whats gonna happen to the farm out there.
Ya know I had a good day otherwise though, found a decent price on some new shoes for my truck, just havent decided which kind. Right now its between toyo open country mt's, and nitto terra grapplers.
On edit: im feeling a little bad too. By my uncles passing, I will end up getting alot of his neat things, and stuff to really help us out here on our farm.

You have to be careful teasing us older guys about our daughters. We shoot, shovel and shut up.
Well, here comes the weather that they warned us about by phone. It's just starting to rock here. We're getting wind gusts of 60mph and I've heard reports of golf ball sized hail on the other side of the lake (15 miles from here and headed this way). The lake just above Conroe is where we live, on the eastern shore.
Man I was having such a great day today, then it felt like i got booted right in the nuts.
My uncle, great man, lived with his mother on my grandfathers farm, huge ford man, could fix ANYTHING, loved auction sales, and antiques, passed away.
I dont wanna sound to damn mushy/negative on here but damn, im one un happy camper right now.
I'm sorry to hear that Sheldon. Please let me know if you need to talk.
You aren't being mushy/negative at all. We care about you.

Sheldon I recall from previous conversations, some various things you shared with us about your uncle. He loved his things, seems to me he would want you to have them, use them and take care of them.
I think Im gonna go for the toyo's too, they do look kick ***, and I havent read a bad thing about them yet. Gonna throw my mt/rs on steel rims back on for a few weeks though.
My advice is to go for the Toyo's. Even thought they are MT's you'll still get more mileage out of them then the Terra Grapplers.
I think thats what Im goin to go with next. I have the Grapplers on now and arent as impressed as I thought I would be.
Any big online store sell them?! I dont remember seeing them online much and dont wanna pay retail for them locally!

Tonight could be fun!
1st dad one I ever met scared the livin chit outta me! Ive never had a problem with respecting people in general but since then its been double for the ladies!
Good luck with that weather! I hate storms like that with all the trees around me!
Just got another call. This one from the Sheriff's Dept. saying that we need to find interior shelter. Winds up to 100mph in Dacus, just across the lake from us.
Trying to upload some video for you guys right now....
