Morning guys! Raining here too. Boooo. It was actually nice and warm the past couple of days.
Nice work on Pete's doors, Steve!!! You are going to RRE next year right?
Thanks Lisa, I don't know what I'll do there, remember GASSER...LOL although my truck proudly displays the "Brotherhood" decal!
I don't think that I will, that falls around my one daughters field hockey time and the others summer play productions, not a good travel time for me. We usually plan summer vacations around the two weeks before Labor Day.
Raining pretty good here atm, at least I can work inside today. I have to try to get my pole shed ready for concrete on Saturday, doubt it will happen though. Still have over half the floor to cover with foam and all the tubing for in floor heat to roll out. Looking more and more like the pour will be on Halloween, if the concrete plant is open that day.
I'm still waiting on a call back from BTS about my trans, called the last 2 days and left messages and also emailed them. Hope they call soon, I need my truck and don't want to install a junk yard trans or have a local shop rebuild mine.
Ditches..adopt a highway. Everyone else walked the side of the highway, I was the retard down in the ditch goin after the hard stuff.
ahh... cool cool..

Dangit! It doesn't matter you have a gasser, we won't hold that against ya. Everything else is the same on our two trucks, except the motor.

That sucks about your trans Mike, but I guess we all have to face that demon eventually. I hope they call ya soon.

If I had that "equipment" I wouldn't be able to wear the jeans I wear. LOL!
supposed to be sunny & 72° here today!!! sweetness!! I have a few projects that need doing while it's warm out, and might even take the intake off my TDI to clean out the soot/gunk that I'm sure has built up over the past 30,000 miles. OOOOhhhh goody... I'll be leaving the electrical gremlins for another day..
How's everyone doing today?
Yeah, they get clogged up pretty fast.
You can go in with Vag-Com. www.ross-tech.com and adapt the EGR flow down to the minimum, then unplug the EGR line.
That stops that build up, but it's for "off road use only"

Good for you, it shows a strong work ethic.

Seeing how quickly the last one was found, that's not a bad idea.
UGH, my least favorite job is coming in tomorrow.
Timing chains on a VR6 Eurovan.
I'm glad for the employment, but it's a TEDIOUS job.
Those brilliant engineers decided that the best place for the chains is right behind the flywheel, so the tranny has to come out, then the flex plate, then the rear cover.
Taking great care not to tear the part of the head gasket that sticks out between the upper and lower halves of the timing cover, change out the chains, tensioners, middle drive sprocket, and put it all back together.
WOOHOO!!!!
Actually I need the exercise. And, there was some not so physically able people in the group, didn't need them going down there and twisting a knee or something.
