Is Williams Lake in a remote area, something like a week in and a week out?
I`m doing ok, no cabin fever yet but I`m sure it`s coming again this winter.
It`s great that your working near your mom and dad`s place, give them my congratulations on their 50th!
It's been a mostly cloudy and quite chilly Oct., 17 cms of wet snow early one then rain. Unfortunately there`s still too much crop left out.
We actually had a few stray flakes a couple weeks ago. This weather can carry on as long as it want although I am sure we will need as much snow as we can get in the hills. More snow=less fires.
I imagine that could be a problem. We need the snow pack to keep the summer fire season in check, or at least help somewhat. Plus it keeps the river levels higher when the weather does decide to heat up.
We were always afraid of the summer field fires in southern Manitoba, 10 days of 104 in the shade and some ahole would flick a cigarette butt out the window while driving down a gravel road. pretty hard to stop a fire thats moving at 10 mph or faster. A handfull of years ago some kids were smoking in a bale stack that belonged to the Hutterites and it got lit up, caused it's own weather system of fire tornadoes.
My motorcycle isn`t a snow machine John, even if it was I wouldn`t be able to take the cold.
We didn`t get much of a summer here either Perry, it was hotter in April and May than the rest of this summer. The beginning of Oct was a lot warmer than the rest of it. Plus in the first week of Oct we got over 17 cms of that wet, icky white junk.
And you can even dress your dog for the occasion Morris...lol
I had a friend here in town that used to take his dog on his motorcycle, the dog loved it. Any time he went near the bike the dog was there ready...lol
