My stomach acts up some nights, go through a 100 lot of generic antacids a month now, roll of tums used to last me a year. Most of the teeth have dissolved also and seem to like breaking up when I have my morning toast.
Long term inhalers x 3 at about 15 years now, an hour a day of parkinson style flinches and twitches thanks to the combination of steroids and genetics. Can't take any muscle relaxants unless I want to risk the deep sleep.
My doc and Lindsey, the specialist that diagnosed me, get to being a pita if I slack off. My Calgary specialist won't have anything to do with me, I'm on his, "you'll have to wait 3 months to see me" list, used to be 10 days. lol ha ha ha, the turd, ha.
I`m starting to get that too with my osteoporosis just as my older doc is starting to cut back on his hours. I`m on the hunt for another one now but like it in most areas there is a shortage to doctors here.
The Calgary specialist and his intern students were supposed to track me for Lindsey's medical journal, theres about 2 dozen patients being tracked at any given time. After 8 years someone decided that there was no way I could be in the landscape trade with my lungs and the low o2 saturation rate so they stopped. Lindsey and myself found out about 3 months later. Specialist is sulking, wouldn't be so bad if the other specialist thats taking patients wasn't East Indian. He's the better doc but it takes 3 months to get tests booked by him because he's East Indian and this is Calgary, with Stephen it's 10 day's. Current GP can now book me anywhere and it's 10 days. Original specialist was a student intern under Lindsey, Lindsey has a Margaret Atwood kind of personality and is on the Canadian Heart and Lung transplant board. I set up part of her lab about 5 years before she diagnosed me
My neighbour was in terrible pain for quite a while but it wasn`t until she wouldn`t take no for answer that she finally got both her knees replaced. They were bone on bone.
Years ago Canada Post went on strike and worn out knees and hips were a major part of the settlement. There were quite a few crippled mail carriers that were bone on bone and some bad surgeries
