Thanks for the vehicle congratulations. I will post pics once daylight comes. I keep hearing that its not my vehicle...oh well.
Had a message from home last night that my dad has been admitted to hospital with a possible bowel obstruction. He's had crohn's disease for just about 30 years, had more surgeries than any 100 people in a combined lifetime. Hopefully its something they can get moving so he can get back to what normal is for him.
Have a great Saturday everyone!!!
I hope your dad is doing better soon Sherm. I will have to check out those heaters, my little electric heater doesn't quite cut it when it is this cold.
I'll need the info when I get to that point. Looks like we started at opposite ends. Have a great day guy's.
.Sherwin, I believe I am now considered a "Power Electrician Journeyman" but I haven't got my certificate yet. My best wishes and prayers go out to you and your family.

Colin, those little hotdog heaters work real well. I had it heating the addition which is separate from the rest of the house with a entry door for now. It would have the 400 sqft space to T-shirt temp in about 1/2 an hour. It is supposed to last 11 hrs at the high setting on a 20lb propane cylinder. I'm planning to get a propane outlet from our big tank put on the garage so I can hook up a Mr Heater forced air heater unit. I would use a wood stove in there, but I plan on doing some projects where a constant heat would be necessary, painting/laquering for example.
Randy, Is that a different ticket than a normal electrician in a residential or commercial setting? More like a linesman sort of thing?
And yes my ticket is different than a residential electrician, Sherwin. My ticket is not red seal, and most of my work is actually more mechanical/electronic/metering and relays vs wiring up houses.
My son, grand daughter, her boy friend and I all took our gun safety course today, we all passed.
Congratulations on the electrical side training Randy.
Hope your dad gets well soon Sherwin.

Nice going on the gun course Morris. Was it the PAL course or the Sask Hunter Safety? They're both good to have. This day and age, having a large arsenal of guns on hand doesn't seem to be a bad idea!!
John, do you get much wind there along with the cold? I can handle the cold as long as that bloody wind stays away.
Pops is feeling better this am. It appears that some inflamed scar tissue in the bowel may be the culprit. Its a by-product of the Crohns Disease system. Its happened before. Being on so many drugs his immune system doesn't operate at full capacity. Its a little easier for him to get an infection or cold. So far the doctors have been able to control these episodes of inflammation without another surgery. Here's hoping this one can be taken care of the same way. He's in negotiation stages for a new drug, partially experimental, which can take place of a chemo type drug he's on. It is supposed to have less side effects than the chemo style drug, but comes at a $26k/year price tag. Their health insurance will cover most of it, and the drug manufacturer is going to kick in for the rest which is awesome!!
Have a great day everyone. Stay warm and healthy!!!
We get a fair amount of wind here and have been getting some pretty severe windchill's in the -40*'s but you fellows out in the prairies have it worse than we do with all the open country.
