I appreciate your input Randy. I'm not a fan of the new Explorer... I liked them when they were a real SUV and not a X-over. I don't often carry more than 5 passengers, but the "indoor" storage of the large SUV while still having the "size" of a truck and real 4x4 is what we're considering. I'm also looking at the Yukon and Escalade vehicles.
I'm not a big fan of the x-over rather than a real frame and real 4x4 either but its perfect for my girlfriend. Its 4wd and its decent on fuel, we get about 23-25mpg doing 110km/h down the highway with a larger and heavier tire than stock. And also that's why you would still have your F350, only time you would drive the Explorer is when you have more than 5 passengers.
If you get an Escalade, I'll buy you the white douche bag shades and a flat beak cap to match No promises' I wont "accidently" call you a douche bag either
And if you trade your F350 for a GM vehicle... well then your opinion no longer counts on a Ford website
Hey Gerry...what's on the menu for today? I've got to figure out the air in my SuperDuty tires. The low tire light came on...rears are at 70psi, fronts at 65psi. Its too cold to worry about right now...
Evening everyone. It was cold here today, not 100% sure on the temp but in the - 35 to - 40 range with wind. My dad finally bought himself a proper working vehicle! Unfortunately it's a Chevy though. He bought a 96 C1500 2wd with a 350 auto trans safetied with summer and winter tires for $2500. Either way, I'm glad he'll stop asking me to use mine lol. The only down side was that the battery was dead, we tried jumping it but with no luck so we pulled the battery out of his half working trailblazer and put the battery in the truck and it still took a few tries to start it. It sucks changing batteries when it's really cold out.
Grant, I'm normally on at work but I can't post or I would have been first this morning lol.
Sherwin, I don't know how you can run with 65-70psi in your tires. I shut my tire pressure system off because I run 45psi front and 35psi rear. Truck rides 10 times better from that alone.
