It`s way too dang cold here too.
What size was your trailer and what did you sell it for Sherm?

A husband went to the sheriff’s department to report
that his wife was missing.

Husband: My wife is missing. She went shopping yesterday and has not come home.

Sergeant: What is her height?

Husband: Gee, I’m not sure. A little over five-feet tall.

Sergeant: Weight?

Husband: Don’t know. Not slim, not really fat.

Sergeant: Color of eyes?

Husband: Never noticed.

Sergeant: Color of hair?

Husband: Changes a couple times a year. Maybe dark brown.

Sergeant: What was she wearing?

Husband: Could have been a skirt or shorts. I don’t remember exactly.

Sergeant: What kind of car did she go in?

Husband: She went in my truck.

Sergeant: What kind of truck was it?

Husband: Brand new 2015 Ford F150 King Ranch 4X4 with eco-boost 5.0L V8 engine special ordered with manual transmission. It has a custom matching white cover for the bed. Custom leather seats and “Bubba” floor mats. Trailering package with gold hitch. DVD with navigation, 21-channel CB radio, six cup holders, and four power outlets. Added special alloy wheels and off-road Michelins. Wife put a small scratch on the drivers door. At this point the husband started choking up.

Sergeant: Don’t worry buddy. We’ll find your truck

Morning fellas... The worm is all mine.

I read all the news yesterday am but didn't have time to drop my $0.05... New job, got to be on time So far that's the only thing that is different. When I was self employed, we would take out time heading to a job in the am, especially this past year when things were a little slower.

My trailer was a 8x18, shallow V nose, tandem axles. It was a Continental Cargo Value Series. Sold it for $5500... I'm guessing that it was too cheap according to the calls and emails I got on it after I sold it... Had it been a bit smaller, 7x14 or so, I may have kept it. It was too big to have sitting around the farm, too big to haul things efficiently, and I really don't need an enclosed trailer for anything any more. I still have my flat deck/car hauler which I will keep forever or replace with a deck over wheel unit. It is far more handy than a cargo trailer.

Colin, your freeloading friends will love you for having a big open bow boat... A friend of mine made a point of buying a closed bow boat, with tight seating for 4. His point, the casual "hey, why don't we meet you at the lake" calls from his other friends got real annoying. His boating was family time. He didn't have to lie about not having room for extras, and didn't have to hurt someone's feelings by turning them down. I guess I'm not that sensitive to others feelings. I had no trouble telling someone "no, just taking my family boating". Hope you find the one you're looking for!!!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Morning Sherm.
I dropped my mate off at the airport this morning, she`s off to Yuma for 3 wks to visit with her sister and brother in law.
A 8x18 trailer would be a bit big for my needs while a 7x14 would be just right.

Evening everyone. I finally have a new permanent supervisor. I've worked with the guy when I first got hired on for a few months, he had just become a shop senior as I was being transferred to a different station. Now he's my supervisor. Here was how our conversation went yesterday:
Me: how the new position going?
Him: fighting an uphill battle
Me: oh that fun?
Him: yeah, if you call blankly staring at a computer screen fun
Me: that's when you do the "what happens if I press this button??"
Him: oh no! I'm incompetent, not stupid
Me: haha, that reminds me of a saying. Being lazy and stupid gets you fired but being lazy and smart gets you promoted
Him: And here I am.

He is a very smart guy, and I think he'll make a good supervisor... Once he figures out what he's doing lol.

Stay safe and warm everyone!

Little reminder about why I love it on the prairies.

On the subject of boats, my wife thinks I'm overcompensating!

Nice sunset/sunrise, they never get old. Nice looking boat also.

Morris your boat sounds like the one I just sold. It was a great little boat but we just ran out of room.

Sherm, I am the only one in town who doesn't have a boat right now. lol
