Thanks Ray. He's a tough bird. Good sense of humor all the time too. Always said he would give anyone everything he has except that disease. He wouldn't wish it on anyone...except maybe members of ISIS... They can have all our disease.
The hills and trees are a blessing when it comes to wind John. Our yard is quite sheltered with mature trees. I've often called my wife complaining of the cold, meanwhile she's out doing chores or something and it doesn't feel too bad in our yard.
Happy Sunday mornin'all. Sherm; Glad your dad's feeling better. The real reason you want to be buried 15' down instead of 8', is that deep down your a really nice guy. I'm going to make a hearty beef stew for supper tonight, to help sooth the chill outside. Have a great day guy's.
We`re off to see our new grand son born yesterday at 5.30 pm!
It seems in Canada it`s all in the -20°C range John, these days spring just seems too far away!
Rather than be buried about 15' down I`m leaning towards cremation Sherm. The gun course is pretty straight forward, it`s not quite that way but it almost seems if you don`t point a firearm at someone during the course you have a good chance passing. There is no more PAL or registry requirements as I understand it but to purchase a fire arm or ammunition you need to pass a gun safety course.
I`m glad your dad is feeling better and hopefully he`s able to get off the nasty chemo drug.
Keep us posted on your cargo trailer, I`m thinking of getting an enclosed trailer if I can finally decide on the size. I`m not looking for a large one, mainly for hauling items to the lake.
I`m really looking forward to warmer temps by Ray, it can`t come soon enough or stay around long enough!
Stay warm Randy.
Congrats on the new grandson Morris. I am going to look at a boat tomorrow and we are going to look at campers this weekend. I hope spring gets here quick.
Good morning fellas...looking for -8 tomorrow morning. Sounds like a shot in the dark to me.
I sold my Cargo trailer to a young guy in Regina. Our Cosco run didn't require the trailer, it lightened my pocket enough that everything could fit in there.
Morris, currently in Canada there is no long gun registry, but you still have to have a PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) or POL (Possession Only License). The PAL allows you to own and purchase more firearms, the POL allows you to keep what you currently have legally, and purchase ammo for them. In order to own or acquire handguns and restricted weapons, you must do another course which gives you a restricted classification on your PAL. There's a whole pile of other paperwork associated with owning restricted weapons also. The PC gov't had a new Bill that would have simplified things further, but when the gunman got into the parliment building with a Model 94 .30-30, they put it on the shelf...
I welcome the day where my wife can carry a concealed weapon in her purse. I don't welcome the day where it might become a necessity, but I fear those days are almost upon us
Have a great Monday everyone. I'm off to start my "new job"
