I went to look at the truck for abyars111.

The truck is miles from my house. Do you guys think it's worth $3,000.
I am not doing any negotiations, that's between the buyer & the seller.
It does have a straight body. It's got a nice interior, other than the ripped front seat & cracked dash pad. Which are both easy to fix. It's got a strong running 400 backed by a C-6. It's got new tires, new exhaust & new ignition system. I don't have any experience with '77+ trucks, or 400s. However this one ran great. All opinions & comments are welcome. (Those are shadows, not dents)

Honestly for what ive seen some go for that seems like a decent price. Theres one near me that need alot of work and they are trying to get 3500 for it. It requires a full resto but theres not and cab rot. Fenders smashed and it needs a new bed.

I'd be all over it. I paid more than that for mine and mine has some rust. Granted mine is 4wd though.

I believe that is a good price. I'm not sure if it matters to abyars111 but with it being a 1977 California truck I imagine it has smog equipment on it. It is not a huge deal, but it is simply something to factor in.

Yes, it's got smog stuff. However, I believe it does not have a catalytic converter.
That does not matter to abyars111 (Anthony)
Sure confused the seller 'cos my name is also Anthony.

Thanks to 76f350camprspeal for inspecting the truck and taking pictures. I'm negotiating the shipping with the owner. Shipping from CA to AL is expensive?

I had mine shipped from Oregon to South Carolina in June 10 and it cost me $1300. At first the bid was out for $900 and nobody would bit on it because it was too low then I had to bump it up to $1300. Now with the price of diesel you might have to go to $1500.

I suspect your looking at about $1,000. It really depends on whether you go through a broker, a long distance hauler or an independent who has room on their trailer during a run. Anything more than that is too high in my opinion. The other option is to buy a plane ticket to LAX and drive I-10, enjoying the beauty of the USA.

My first crew I bought in 2006 in Apple Valley CA and flew to las vegas and a friend drove me from vegas to apple valley then I drove it all the way back to south carolina. Cost me over $700 in gas plus I had to change the fuel pump in the guys drive way before I could even begin my trip. Then hotels, food all came up to more then 1400.
