Guys this is NOT a classified for sale thread. As of right now no one has gotten any warnings or infractions but consider this everyone's official warning.
Remember FTE does have a classified section and most state chapters also have a for sale thread going. So scroll down to your state chapter at the bottom of the forum list and check it out.
But selling in the tech forums is specifically against FTE guidelines.
6. Personal Items For Sale . For Sale items are not allowed in the automotive and general discussion forums of FTE. This includes placing ads or links to ads in your signature. We have a Classifieds section that you can list your items in. Want ads are allowed in the forums so long as you post a follow-up when you find the part(s). Vehicle value discussions are permitted, however, if we find it turning into a for sale thread, the thread will be removed. The only exception to this guideline is the Chapter Forums. There is a specific thread in each Chapter Forum, for Chapter Members only, that is intended for local for sale items.
I recently found a 79 f350 crew for a price I just can't pass on. But before I fork up the bills, I was curious on how good the market for parts is for things like rear door panels and door parts. Or am I gonna have to get creative?
OK guys, I have another question for ya. I have a '73 F250 Crew Cab with a HD Dana 44 up front (Closed Knuckle). So here is my question, does anyone make a High Steer Kit for this axle? The Dana 44 High Steer Kits that I have seen all have an inline bolt pattern, where the one I have is in a square pattern. If no one makes the arms for this, will the ones for a Dana 60 work? They appear to be similar, but I don't know what the measurements are. Options???
Pretty sure the reason a high steer is possible on a 60 or 44 is because the flat top knuckle has enough meat on it to machine it for the arms. Yours do not have the desirable "flat top" knuckles.
So I am close to finish my build, 77 Crew Cab that I made into a 4x4 and also slapped in a 12V Cummins. So I hit a problem, need some suggestions. Wiring I suck at, and always seem to have problems. I have the wiring diagram for the 12V to adapt to the ford, no problem. Issue i am having is I have a short somewhere and cant locate it. My whole truck is energized. I can touch any panel on the truck with a light tester and it lights up. I have recently found that when i turn on my headlight switch, seems the current in the truck gets amplified. I have power to the headlight plugs but lights will not come on, i have power coming into and out of the headlight switch...... Suggestions? I did pull the whole front clip to stuff that 12v in, maybe pinched wire when re-installing it???? or bad headlight switch?
[IMG][/IMG]Finally done. its an early 77 crew cab f250 with a built 400 with throttle body injection. 4 speed np 205 want. dana 60s front and rear. a/c, 37 gallon custom tank between frame rails. 4 inch lift 37s, headers, dual exhaust, and intermittent wipers. future plans are bedliner, cruise control, tow reciever, and front push bar. let me know what you think

Reason: trying to add pictures
Found a crew cab cab at a junk yard. Always wanted one the only problem is that someone already pulled the rear doors. Should I start on this project or find a different truck.
palmer.... great job on the crew, hopefully mine will be done and I can post the finished product...how is that throttle body injection working out? how much improvement on the mpg's and power?
JB78...what are they asking for the crew? 2wd? 4wd? if the cab is in good shape.... as in rusted drip rails or not.... it may be worth it to buy it and look for rear doors off a rusted crew ...later on
