I got some errands and chores done this morning, then started de-scaling the frame on the water truck build. It's a northern truck, so it has some rust scale that needs to be dealt with before I start welding on it.
Dave, I sure like the idea of those clamps, I use the hold the square in place, glue, nail , throw it away and call someone more skilled than I method.
Have a great day youins!
Where's the challenge in that? LOL
The brown outlets and cover plates came in today so tomorrow I'll try to get the almond colored ones swapped out. Personally, I like the contrast but I've learned not to argue with the boss.

Well up at 05:00 so I decided to get a jump on things and go in a hour early. At least I can jam the radio for a hour without any intruptions. Everyone have a great day.
We got back from Florida Saturday evening. It was a great trip, although way too much driving. Sarah had a good race and enjoyed the trip.
I need to check the pictures on my phone and see what I took.
Sunday I got in a 10 mile run and then we spent the day taking care of leaves.
Our Thanksgiving will be Friday. Thursday will be the Pie Run and then I need to head to Fulton to do some work at Sarah's house. That is if the weather supports it.
For Friday we will be having 20 to 25 people over. We are happy to host family Thanksgiving but it does wear on you having that many people over.
My oldest daughter's birthday was yesterday, so we went over to my other daughter's house and she made loaded baked potato soup for Cora's birthday dinner. It was pretty darn good. It makes me feel old to know my mini me is 28 years old.
Back to chipping and grinding rust today. At least the back half of the truck fits in the garage, so I can work out of the weather.
Good morning youins. Not much to report here, just work and more work, good thing is it is paying work for my day job. Customers reaching out with projects. Have a great day all!
Morning all,
Another day in paradise i.e. retirement!
Slept like a baby last night so my spirits are in a much better place. Now on to whatever it is I do.
Hope Everyone is ready for Thursday, or Friday in your case Joe. Let me know when you're recovered and I'll pop over and pick up that engine from ya,
RC hope you'll have Thanksgiving somewhere with friends or whomever. If not you're welcome here. I know a guy (ME) that can whip up a shrimp boil in no time at all. Not pilgrim food but i know you be likin some Shrimps.
Well off to see the wizard!
It’s been a busy day today. As I was almost finished swapping out the outlets, another 16 tons of gravel arrived. After I got back from my doctor’s appointment, I got busy cleaning up a bunch of soggy dead leaves and started spreading gravel.
I got the frame prepped and sprayed today. Tomorrow I can cut the 4"x4" cedar posts to fit the contour of the frame rails and get the water tank fitted in to place.
Morning all,
Hope everyone's turkey is thawed. I'll be getting out the fryer later on today for the frying of the bird tomorrow.
I'm not sure if any other of you Vets have a hard time during the Holiday season but with both My Wife & Mom now gone I get a little reclusive during this time of the year. If so there's help out there to help ya thru the rough times. And it's OK to ask for it. I'd hate to think of how many Holidays, Birthdays, even major kids events I missed during my time in the Service so, I don't get excited about them anymore. But maybe I should? Anyway, try your best to enjoy WHAT YA GOT in whatever manner that is.
Looks as though everyone's projects are rapidly coming to completion so there's no excuse to not kick back, watch the Thanksgiving Day parade and eat like there's no tomorrow, Tomorrow!
This morning, as we were finalizing tomorrow's plans with Meredith (daughter) she asked us to bring something we didn't have in the house. We went to Columbia to the grocery store. All 4 lanes of I-70 were packed and every city street was backed up at every stop light. Had to go to two grocery stores to find what we wanted. Both parking lots were jamb packed. Whew! Glad we got that out of the way.
Sherry read recently that Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving are the two busiest traveling days of the year. I can't argue with that. Tomorrow we've got a 2 1/2 hour drive to Meredith's, mostly on I-70, I-435, and I-35. I'll be the grampa in the right lane impeding traffic (to some small extent) traveling at or slightly over the posted limit. I'll have no inclination to be in the fast lane going 15 mph over the limit. I'll let the younger crowd do that. We'll be coming home in the dark, so I'll definitely not be out there in the fast lane then.
I probably won't be near a computer 'till Friday morning so here's a shout out to every one of you to have a great Thanksgiving. Don't go near the bathroom scales for a week or so.
