November chat thread

Give me some worldly ideas how to get folks more interested and draw a larger Mo chapter crowd here. Or do we like it just the way it is, with the small group dynamics we are rockin?
I wish I was smart enough to come up with suggestions but I'm not. I also wish more folks would chime in. Some of those other folks probably occasionally come here and check out the monthly threads and tell themselves that "if that atch character would keep his pie-hole shut I'd come more often."
I’m probably not the best for advice on building the group as I don’t exactly have a teeming social life outside of home, work, and FTE.
Since I don’t think I can salvage the first drawer for another attempt at getting it square, I finished sanding down the next one and mocked it together with the new corner clamps. It pulled up nice and tight and was only 1/16th out of square on the diagonals. I took it all apart, glued it up, and set some brad nails in the joints. Now I am just waiting for the glue to set pretty good before I pull the clamps off and see what happens.

Update - these clamps totally rock. After a couple of hours, I took the clamps loose, dropped, glued and nailed the bottom in. I let that sit for a little while and attached the drawer slides to the sides and test fit in the cabinet. It went right in and looks great!
I was able to remove the back and bottom of the problem drawer and managed to save the front, sides, and bottom. I’ll need to make a new back, but I’ve got a front panel I messed up that I can recycle for that. That’s going to have to wait until at least tomorrow. In my frustration with the drawer earlier this week, I fumbled the fence for the table saw and broke part of the plastic latch handle. It still functioned, but I’ve JB Welded the broken part back on and it won’t be fully cured until tomorrow.

I got one fender fabbed up and installed today. I'm going to try to dodge the raindrops tomorrow and get the other side done. The other fender, tail lights, and a couple extra sprayers and it should be ready to go. Hopefully, I'll have it wrapped up next week sometime.
So I got my food to go, stopped by and got the bucket (of gold hens teeth and unikorn tears) and hauled it north east as fast as the Ranger would alomost run. Got it to 110 and once I moved the floor mat I got it to shut off a 120....I am kidding. Not even above 65 on this holiday, I am not crazy.
Then got Ed and made a Scotts JY lap for a door, got a pretty good door for the other BIL and got a smoking deal on a Pack Rat bed box. It fits between the Ranger bed fenderwells perfect. And that means it will fit between the Bronco fenderwells.

I mean I deeply appreciate the camaraderie we have among the hard core 8/9 (you all know who you are
I just wish we had a larger group to discuss life/trucks and all that other stuff we talk about. Do people just forget about this thread or do they just not have "time" to be Ford truck-Missouri chapter sociable?

Pretty well the same everyday…some Ford’s were broke, I charged people or their warranty money to fix them. Some Chevy, Ram, Toyota, etc. was broke we looked at it I realized they’re all junk and felt better about Fords again 🤣 Take the boys to wrestling practice after work, clean house and try to prep for another week of it on the weekend 🤷♂️
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
survived thksgvg with 8 , mostly inlaws. No fights broke out or even harsh conversation. Id rather have art scotts brisket but turkey is tradition. At least its smoked. Dave i love those clamps! Rich dont know what to tell ya about generating more activity. We'd talk more about ford trucks but only cameron is priveliged with working on them every day! Went down the street to help a healing neighbor with hip replacement move some stuff. He showed me some cool walnut shelves and varnished tops he did. I think its my next pprojects since i still have some walnut squirreled away. Have most of the woodworking equipment already. Stay in from the storm if you can! Rich keep it under a hundred. Lol!
Look what's in my yard.
It's still coming down pretty good. I haven't heard a weather report so I'm not sure how long it's supposed to continue. Talked it over with the dog and we're postponing our walk for a while. She's on her bed sulking.
Not much to report here other than that. Insured the snowblower was up and running yesterday in preparation for the snow so I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be.
Stay off the roads for a while and let the crews get them cleared.
I had to take my sister and her dog to the vet this morning so I'm just sitting here waiting for her to come out. When I get home, I'm going to do my best not to go out again today.
BJ is about 65 miles east of us.

Col. B.J., nothing personal here, but as the saying goes, *Better you than me!*. I wouldn't be going anywhere either! A friend in the St. Louis AMC group posted some pics. on his spacebook page, don't look good. THAT makes me glad I moved when I did.
