Afternoon folks. It’s wet and cold outside and the wife and I are both having sinus issues, so I’ve been down in the garage working the drawers. I was able to get the first drawer I made apart enough to square it up and install a new back section. After spending way too much time trying to get the first one right, I’ve got two done in as many days.

Not exactly Ford related, but I was wearing my Ford sweatshirt so that ought to count for something.

Alan - Don’t let the folks you keep building out the trailers for that there are two in Lebanon with a for sale sign on them.

Got about 5 solid inches of white stuff this morning. Daughter left at 6:30 this morning with 3-4 on the ground. Just texted her after reading about a 45 car pileup westbound in terra haute. She said that was bad. Instead of turning north in indy they kept on to dayton before turning. Roads were clear east of indy, but they ran into covered roads again in lima,oh just now. Maybe home by midnight, a 9 hour drive on a clear day.

It was cold and raining here today, too. I got the fender and bracket pieces made, I just have an aversion to welding in the rain. Tomorrow is another day. I need to get it done and back to Texas. Apparently I'm indispensable again. I have to go down and work on the new production trailer, do a show, then fly home for a couple weeks and start tour on January 5th. .

Time to clean off your sunglasses and refill your autograph pen there Alan.

I got some stuff done today, and even made a FB MP run over by Nevada, dang FB MP is the devil. Going to pick up Penny in Spg tomorrow evening, and then back to the same ol work stuff.

Morning all,
24° After walking the dog. Short walk but she did what needed to be done.
The snow here was so wet, after some rain, the snowblower couldn't deal with it. So I had to hand shovel it all. It took a few tries but now it's clear and dry.
Sounds like you're gonna be busy for a while Alan. You'd probably go nuts hanging with me.
Well "Sunday Morning" is coming on so I better charge my coffee cup and hit the recliner.

Morning all.
We had 25 people on Friday evening with 4 spending the night. But they left at 4am to get to the farmers marked in KC.
I got up Saturday to run with the high school cross country team. My daughter decided not to join us because she had a good amount of snow in Fulton and she needs new tires.
Only one kid showed up for the run so I ran with him. It was cold and rainy, the worst weather to run in. Then the rest of the day I didn't do much of anything.
We will see if today is productive or not, I need to change the front rotors in my van. Got the parts yesterday,

Gwen has a little stomach bug, so she won't be off the couch today. It's chilly out. Looks like winter is here.

Morning folks, glad to see we are all up and around and staying busy. Be safe out there, and watch the snow/ice/cold slick wet stuff.

This means you for sure BJ, how was the wrist/hand after shoveling that wet snow stuff?

Joe how is the mini split working as far as keeping the shop warm?

Good Late Morning, Everybody!

It's a cold one out there today. I got the other fender welded on, but now I'm inside to thaw my fingers out and grab some lunch. Then it's back out in to the freezer to start building the tool box for the side of the water truck.

Intentionally not much doing here! Got about 4" but rain washed most of it away. Gonna work on putting a light bar on my kaw mule. One thing leads to another and need to take off and repaint the brush guard first

Rich, this left hand/wrist was damaged more than the Doc & Therapist know. With the heavy snow, I could only throw snow with my right hand/arm. It was VERY inconvenient but let me know any time I tried to throw the snow with my left.
I'm kinda like Dave2 just kickin dirt (snow in this case). Hasn't increased in temperature much since I got up. So I'm just watching the tube and surfing the net.
Alan I can't imagine working outside in this 24° F temperature.

Hi folks. Throat started getting scratchy Friday. Now I've got a full-blown cold. I'm wearing a face mask (remember Covid) in hopes that Sherry doesn't contract it. I'm also staying away from Sherry at all times. When I went to bed, in the spare bedroom, last night I knew that I wouldn't be going to church today and giving this to anyone else. Looks like I get to read and watch old movies for a few days. At least I'll be inside and warm. Always look at the positive and ignore the negative.

A while back I was sawing up the rest of the ash tree logs into firewood length (thank you Emerald Ash Borers). The chain jumped off of the bar and ruined the chain and bar. Obviously, I let the chain get too much slack in it. I normally check the chain tension every time I refill the gas tank but I guess I failed at some point. The replacements I ordered thereafter have been sitting on the shop bench for 2-3 months now. A week or so ago I put the new bar and chain on the saw and had planned to finish cutting the ash this week. I guess that will have to wait a week or so.

Nothing Ford truck related to report today.

Afternoon all,

It took most of the holiday weekend, but I finally got the blasted drawers done and finish sanded. I still need to do some finish sanding on the cabinet and this piece will be ready for paint.

Sinuses are really not happy the last couple of days so I’m going to try to kick back and relax for the rest of the day before heading back to the office tomorrow.

Alan - those are some stout looking tool box mounts.

Atch - take care of that cold. The creeping crud is making its rounds around here pretty bad lately.

Went to the farm today and cut down a tree I wanted outta the view of my deer stand to use as a Christmas tree. It was a cold ride on the old atv to get into the woods. Kids were happy with the tree and had fun putting the ornaments on. So I’m calling it a winner. Ford truck related as I hauled the kids and the tree in the Transit van.
