All because of an antique printer that died. My two geeks, electrical and mechanical engineers, failed to update my windows 7 desk top to windows 10. Twice. Off to buy a cheap laptop so I can print payroll stubs and tax returns. This crap makes me feel like a caveman. Too bad I don't know my google password to find my other passwords. Got 2 days left to square this away before my daughter fights near lake effect snow on their way home to MI on Saturday. In an old, rwd, tiny ford ranger.

Evening Everyone!

I made some good progress on the water truck today. It's bolted down in the back, now. I have the rest of the mounts made, I just have to weld them in place tomorrow, then start on the fenders.

Well good evening Ford Friends!
Took me a bit to catch up on the latest. Great work Alan! I sometimes use the receptacle "holes" but I'll stop. thanks for the info. Spent 3 days at the lake raking/blowing/burning sometimes wet leaves. Woke up Monday with a bad pain in shoulder working up to my neck so came on home. Highlight of the trip was dinner with Rich! Wish Joe was closer to give me some massage treatment! Brought my Kawasaki Mule home for installing a led light bar and some maintenance. It has an electronic power steering unit...no pump. Intermittently the eps light comes on and power steering goes out. No luck finding the culprit so far. It has its own ECU, on and on I'm not good at troubleshooting. Did find loose axle bracket and one bolt missing. I "may" have been rough with it in mud, high water, etc. Probly wont do that again. We have 10 tomorrow, but get turkey from a local place that smokes them. Dont care for turkey myself. Any way have much to be thankful for..but not this sore shoulder!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I think we have all our grocery shopping done for company tomorrow evening.
We will see how this race goes this morning. I'm not in shape for it, but there are donuts afterwards.
We might have kids show up this evening, we will see.

Morning all,
Happy Thanksgiving! I'm about to fire up the turkey frier and burn da bird. Unlike a lot of you all I go to my daughter's for thanksgiving and as with most families it's a three ring circus. Hey ya gotta love em, you da one what started the whole mess.
Thought I'd share this Norman Rockwell painting.

Happy Thanks giving Everyone!

We have about 20 or 30 people over for dinner. It's a mad house. I'm gonna go out and weld a little on the water truck before everyone gets here. We were up until midnight last night getting things ready for today.

Happy Thanksgiving! The bird’s in the roaster and the wife is in command of the kitchen. We’ve probably got the smallest get together in the group - just 5 of us this year. One sister has plans with friends in Lebanon and the other has COVID running amok in the nursing home. She hasn’t got it, but we’re not taking any chances with it.

We got home a few minutes ago. Gone from home 10 hours; 5 of those hours were driving time. Got to see two daughters, their husbands, and their combined 5 children. Unfortunately, the ex and her husband were there also. It's not really pleasant being in the same room with someone you were married to for 28 years and then threw you out 'cause she found someone "better." Oh, well; it is what it is. She recently moved back to Missouri so that will be happening more often now. Birthdays, graduations, holidays, etc. will force us to be "together." But, to repeat a quote I heard many many years ago: "if that's the worst thing that happens today it will still have been a good day."

The table was spread with all the usual suspects. Turkey, ham, and a dozen or so other holiday favorites, plus 3 homemade pies. I think that Sherry and I will both be skipping supper.

Traffic on I-70 westbound this morning was amazingly light. Eastbound on the way home traffic was about what it would have been on any Thursday afternoon/evening.

It's the end of the day. Dinner is over, everyone has gone home and everything is cleaned up and put away. Time to relax and snack on the leftovers.

Agreed. I thought I wouldn't eat supper but here I am, at 8:30, having a ham and Swiss made with leftover ham.

Well evening folks, I worked 7 hrs wed, then took off and came home changed cloths, trucks and Penny and I headed to the grandkids. Traffic on south bound 13 Hwy and west bound I44 was CrAxY, tons of jerk face pie holes on the road. Stop and go on west bound I44, almost got rearended a few times with lack of paying attention and operating a automobile dingbats behind me.

Today we met up with all of Penny's side of the family. Her dad even made it to the rented meeting place in Pierce City. So we had sisters, grandkids, nephews, nieces, SIL, BIL and a ton of awesome tradationial turkey day chow. Then I headed back home, at least east bound I44 and 13 Hwy were back to normal.

Penny is staying with her sisters on their normal black friday +2 day deal in Branson and Spg shopping deal. I am working in my shop, I got 2 more 8' LED lights put up in the shop. And trying to make headway on cleaning up and or straightening up. I am making a JY run tomorrow for the BiL, he needs a dvr door for a 82 Ford truck.

Ok so I just cruised by the FTE forums/members list/Missouri chapter and there were THIRTY...30 FTE members and a number of them are even FTE Missouri chapter members that were on FTE TODAY. So I have a question, do people just find this monthly chat/daily drive by thread boaring or what?

I mean I deeply appreciate the camaraderie we have among the hard core 8/9 (you all know who you are ) that are frequent flyers. This thread is my way to keep in touch with the group. Except when Dave is close enough that we can meet for dinner. Lol

I just wish we had a larger group to discuss life/trucks and all that other stuff we talk about. Do people just forget about this thread or do they just not have "time" to be Ford truck-Missouri chapter sociable?

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/m...astvisit&pp=50

Give me some worldly ideas how to get folks more interested and draw a larger Mo chapter crowd here. Or do we like it just the way it is, with the small group dynamics we are rockin?

Morning all,
Hope everyone survived the Thanksgiving stuffing fest. Mine was relatively painless. I've still got a 1/2 a fried turkey to cut up but that can wait until later.
It was 20° when I woke up this morning and 24° when I walked the dog. I certainly was glad to get back home.
Not sure what today will bring but I'm sure I'll find something to do.
Stay warm and safe.
